According to their main message board a number of Orient fans walked the 8 miles to the ground today. Not sure which charity it was for.

Got me thinking.

Would people be up for something similar next season? Early start, take in a couple of pubs and raise a few quid for Demelza?

Always assuming the game is on a Saturday.

Yes i am up for it. Already do a couple of walks for Charity. The Greenwich and Bexley Hospice walk is coming up in May should any of you out there want an enjoyable event that raises a lot of money for a great cause.

It was for a cancer charity in memory of a fan who died a few years back.

They walked to Millwall last season. You can still donate via their message boards.

Good Idea Clem, good luck with taking it forward. Even I could manage 8 miles with the odd pub thrown in.

There were 100 of them apparently. Very decent thing to do and well worth supporting.

I will happily walk to Leyton Orient next season if it's a Saturday (not sure I'd do Millwall though). Should take less than two hours and is a great way to work up a raging thirst.

Would be more impressed if the Carlisle fans had done it.

Not sure of the route they took. Think the foot tunnel is closed.

I will definitely revisit this next season. Might need some helo with logistics as I dont really know if 50-100 could meet at Bartrams and then walk the streets without the police etc taking an interest.

You organise it and I'll get a contact for the Club's Police Liaison officer for you.

Clem, wait to the fixtures come out and i'll help you with the organising mate. Remember hearing of them doing it to Millwall last season and thought it was a great idea then.

    Would definately need police approval.

Bumping this now the fixtures are out.

    Are people still interested?

Just wondering whether people will be up for it as the Orient game is now NYE?.

Can't really think of another game to do it.....

    NYE doesn't seem ideal.

How about the Orient home game? Maybe we could link up with the Os fans and walk from Brisbane Road to the Valley?

    Is is a saturday game?
