Charlton winger Dennis Rommedahl has issued a come-and-get-me plea to interested clubs.

Rommedahl is determined to leave Charlton following their relegation from the Premiership.

FC Copenhagen were reported to be leading the chase for Rommedahl, but the former PSV Eindhoven ace insists his preferred option would be to find a club in Germany, Italy or Spain.

"FCK is not my first priority." Rommedahl told BT.

"Leagues like the Spanish, German or Italian is much more attractive than the Danish.

"The most important thing is to find a club where I can regain the happiness to play and get the playing time I need.

"I keep all doors open, also to Denmark. The sporting challenge also needs to be matched by the financial."

FC Copenhagen chairman Flemming Ostergaard has played down the Danish club's interest in Rommedahl suggesting the player is not good enough for them

"Our team at FC Copenhagen is better than Charlton and he is sitting at the bench there." stated Ostergaard.

I like that quote. Might as well say 'I'm a football mercenary'.

I'm pretty sure this is his last year of a three year contract.

Christ, I can't believe that the giants of the European leagues have not busted the doors down trying to sign him already, what is their problem?

Ormiston, maybe they are waiting to complete their UEFA Cup and Champions League campaigns first? Oh actually that's a thought, perhaps we could offer Liverpool to swap him for Carson. Peter Crouch might actually be tall enough to reach some of the crosses he puts in.

In all honesty I can't wait to see who the useless twat goes to.

Imagine the look on his face when his agent breaks the news that its FC Copenhagen or hang the boots up time......

I can't believe the insensitivity of the bloke - the season hasn't even ended yet and he's already in the lifeboat and paddling furiously away without even a second glance.

"Women and children first" is the saying. Therefore it's quite apt that Romm is the first one in the dinghy - the f*cking big girl. GOOD RIDDANCE!!!

And also he basically means if no other club in another country come in for me then i'll have to go to Denmark.

    excellent quote.

i was disappointed Romm didn't feature in the last few games, i thought he could of made the difference despite my earlier reservations about him. Now i'm glad he didn't, his heart was never in it.

Apparently, Rommedahl signed a 4 year deal when he joined us. So that's one year left.

Unfortunately due to two letters typed incorrectly, the dossier Curbs was given on him before he signed him, described Denis as "a complete winger" .....:-)
