    Anyone got the SLP today?

    Richard Cawley
Can't put online yet but in paper today I have got #cafc boss Chris Powell talking about Michael Stewart, who turned down contract offer

Powell: At this stage it is still possible that we could come to an agreement - but at the moment there is a bit of a stalemate.#cafc

It looks unlikely he will join then , I just hope he does not go to Millwall or Palace .

Looked a good player yesterday always wanting the ball, much more movement to his game.

Looked like he was out on his feet at the end and became a bit sloppy but was head and shoudlers above anyone else out there

I think the fact powell played him yesterday means that he thinks there's a good chance of getting him to sign

stewart makes us so much better. he's a leader and a dictator, he got the ball and looked calm assured aswell as telling everyone where to pass and always being an option. think we've got a much better chance of promotion if we've got him.

He was very vocal and is captain material, can't take a corner for toffee on yesterdays showing though

On Saturday's showing you would want him, combined well with Semedo another one we would want. Agree with NLA that his corners were pants. Overall I'm sure that we now have a list of potential targets, Jeff Vetere surely must have been busy, so now it's down to who we can persuade followed by how good our Coaches are. I remain optimistic.

Semedo had a good game but that is a real conundrum because we created far more when he wasn't in the team at the last home game.

@Bexley Dan was that because Stewart and Parrett were much better going forward than Semedo or partly to do with the team we were playing? Rochdale didn't close down well like some teams have done against us. Hartlepool were happy to sit back and not leave any gaps.

It'll be interesting to see if Powell sticks with 4-4-2, Semedo could be better suited to a 3 man central midfield. Is 4-4-2 his formation of choice or did he just see it as the best formation with the players we had? He did experiment with 4-3-3 for a while but it didn't suit enough of our players.

Game of opinions obviously but for me there's no question that Semedo is one of the main reasons we don't create anything.
