Can any explain why the north side of the river thames has more success on the pitch than the south side? Would Arsenal be as good if they were still from woolwich?

    Moved north of the river 15 years ago and I have to say it's miles better.

    North London is shite and boring.  South London has much more character.

    Born and bred in South London but now work in North London. -  Neasden , Wood Green , Stonebridge Park , Finsbury park . Nuke the lot of em.

    Talking of 'dives' South London also has inferior pubs.

    North v South London? Short of ideas at Time Out again?

    We all know West London's the real toilet in this city, anyway.

    (There was a "what if?" thread a few months back about what might have happened if Arsenal stayed in Plumstead, btw.)

    Some great areas of North London, some very very rubbish ones.

    Think there's certainly more of a "buzz" in South London nowadays though. North London had it's time, South London is beginning to blossom.
