Fair play to them - made the day. But where on earth do you get 40 or so identical outfits like that?

Anyone got any pictures?

Don't know what they were singing either, it sounded more like something out of Zulu than a traditional football chant.  Perhaps we should have responded with Men of Harlech.

One of yesterday's more entertaining aspects.

Love the iPhone picture through the binoculars, look like that tilt shift photography.

I don't think they were Oompa Loompas, but dressed in soldiers' uniforms from the Napoleonic Wars, which relates to the monkey-hanging incident.

I realised  that they were Oompah Loompahs but my first thought when I saw one from distance was "droogs" from Clockwork Orange.
  • A couple of my photos from yesterday's game of the Hartlepool fans, my other photos from the game should be on the Newsshopper website tomorrow

Nice pics. Probably more like 50 of them having a quick count up there - and 20 Santas. Good turn out - well played!

I hope someone has been able to go onto their website and thanks them for adding some colour and fun for the basically meaningless game
