I'm going to Primrose Hill in my lunch break. Do you think I'll be safe up there?

You've still got more chance of being blown up by the Arabs than the Irish.

The last bit on the Met Police web page:
"The threat level from Irish-related terrorism has not increased and
remains at substantial meaning that an attack is a strong possibility.
The threat level was raised in September 2010 from moderate to
    substantial.
This is lower than the overall threat to the UK from international terrorism which remains at severe"

im trying to find some pictures of the Old Natwest Tower (tower 42) to show my current boss who didnt live in London at the time.  Cant find any proper ones... you know of all the windows missing etc.  I suppose there weren't cameras about in 1993... in fact i remember scores of us all walking up to have a look and take pics.  Eery.

So I walked round Regent's Park in my lunch break and there were about 10 rozzers in full riot gear running round the running track. One of the weirdest things I've ever seen.

Curb it, my dad was a maintenance man at the natwest tower and at work the day the bomb went off they got a warning but it wad too unsafe for them to leave the building so had to barricade themselves under desks in the centre of the building and wait till it went off. Afterwards he was one of only a few that was allowed back into the building and he can't describe the shear amount of destruction that was caused.

I worked in Tavistock Square and still remember the sound of the bus blowing up about 10 yards from my office. Fortunately we were on the 4th floor so no direct damage to us but the view from the window was like a scene from a horror film.

Oh, and in my previous stint in the City, I walked straight past the van that blew the Baltic Exchange up in 1992 about an hour before it went off.

newstalk.ie biggest talk radio in Ireland. If you listen to commentary you will find 99.999% of people over here think they are utter C**ts as well.
I work for a wireless internet company and have to climb lots of buildings to do line of sight tests. Got busted by the cops this morning on the roof of an estate agency opposite the American embassy. Held for 2 hours, myself and my van searched and a full background check done. Had to laugh when hardly any information was available to them as i am ex British Army. No offence taken though as they have to do their job
    Be safe peeps.

I used to work in Natwest tower too, and a week or so after the bomb, I went into the building to retrieve various items from my departments safe.

It was carnage in there, and very windy too(16th floor).

ironically it was the week after the final window had been replaced from the previous bombing.

We also lost at The Den the day of the bombing.

only the Irish could issue a bomb alert that actually caused a staus below the current severe status that is already in place. They need to work on their timing and get with it. Unless your prepared to blow yourself up as well, your nothing in the terrorist world these days.
