I have just put £50 on Charlton to win League 1 next season at 14/1 with Bet365

Am I mad??  :)

    I just fancy us to have a good season next season once powell brings in his own team & imports his style of play on the team.  There is no doubt that Powelly will have no excuses if we are not up amongst it at the end of the season.  This is his team now!  The buck stops with him!

    Yes Off_It.  It was the price that appealed more than the actual bet!!  9 or 10-1 with most firms!!

    I don't see how they can calculate any odds at this stage of the season.....they don't know who'll be in our squad next year yet!

    Sheff Weds are way out in front, followed by PNE, then MK franchise, then us and a host of others.

    Those are good odds, especially if we bring in some better players in the next month or two, which I am very much hoping will be the case (obviously).  You could do worse than take those odds - even if you hedge your bets and go each way, it's still not a bad potential return (1/4 stake meaning it's still a 4-1 bet). 

    I would also back PNE for the title as I think that they will keep some players who should smash this league.  What will happen with Sheff Weds is anyone's guess....no doubt they will splash the cash, but they did that last year and it didn't work!  Of course, we could play out a similar scenario....

    Although I would be looking at laying some it off on Betfair if we have a good start.

    Just seen bet365 are offering 9/2 on us to be promoted!  I think that is good value!

    Yes d_bent but if you go on Oddschecker.com you can get 9/2 with Bet 365 on us getting promoted.  We are still 14/1 to win the league as well

    I am shocking long shot of 14-1 because this Midfield currently is the best I've seen for a few seasons.

    And Little shocked that Sheffield Wednesday are shorter odds
