Racon to Millwall?

As long as we bring in a good replacement I'm not really bothered. Not worth what we were paying him.

Sky Sports reporting of Therry Racon switch from #cafc to #Millwall. That should go down well in SE7!

    Well let's see who the good replacement is then? I'll be patient but am ready to blow a fuse after Slater's letter to us- still time for everything to look a lot brighter but the next few weeks are going to have to be busy.

    Not sad to see him go, has played his part in our slow suffering demise and can go anywhere as far as I'm concerned.

    We all knew the score @Henry Irving. It's been on the cards he's going to be leaving because we weren't going to be matching his previous wages. Good player, but, in our current situation, not worth the money he wanted. If we're going to blow the bank on a player we need them to be consistent and a visible class above this league. I don't think Racon was either.

    Yes - Slater promised strengthening - so with pre season about to start - all I see is weakening. If people want to spout the nonsense all other fans do by saying how rubbish a player is when he leaves, ok you can do that. I think Racon would have been a very useful player for us next season  and it hurts that Millwall have nabbed him too. So this season we have lost Racon - Our statbank player of the season, Anyinsah - Who would have been our Statbank player of the season injuries permitting, Dailly, our player of the season the year before last, Reid, the player I thought was our player of the season the year before last, and possibly, even likely Semedo, last season's player of the season. there is talk of losing Benson who was decent last year and could be an important squad player. We have brought in Hollands who is a steady and well respected player for Bournemouth and possibly Hayes who scored how many goals last season? We are talking of bringing in an Oldham left back who they don't seem to bothered to be losing.

    I am not blowing the fuse just yet - there is still time for things to be completely turned around but I have appraised the deals and commented that if I don't see the activity I think I need to see, that fuse will be well and truly blown. We mustn't forget that every decent player we go for- other higher placed clubs will try to nab so getting the qulaity to replace what we have lost is going to be hard IMO.

    I think all our fuses would have blown had we been selling all our players to stave of administration. I think we should be putting things into perspective here and start thinking that perhaps we do not have shed loads of money to buy who we want. I'm just grateful that we are spending whatever money there is.

    You are right, we can look on not going into administration as a positive. But unless we arrest this slide, the club we love is only going in one direction IMO. Fan numbers are on the decrease and will fall further unless going to games (In League 1) is more enjoable than having your teeth pulled. We were promised something that as of yet hasn't come to pass yet.I am expecting us to be competetive and have acknowledged that it could still happen - just commenting that I'm not happy with were we are at this moment in time. Things can change quickly with some quality signings.

    I'm not bothered about Racon going. He only produced when HE wanted to ie when his contract was running out.
