Starting line up at present

Ok, so how do you all see starting line up with the current squad and what formation do you envisage

will it be a safe 4-4-2, an in vogue 4-2-3-1-1 or a typical Charlton 4-6-0 if winning 10 minutes into the second half ?

    I would go with:

    -----------------------Sullivan-----------------------

    Solly----------Francis----Doherty----------Evina

    -------------------------Hollands-----------------------

    Green----------------Stephens--------------Wagstaff

    -------------------Hayes--------BWP-----------------

     

    Green and Wagstaff alternating wings if not getting any joy!Obviously going with who we have got at the minute but would seriosuly consider Francis at centre back, tall, reasonably quick and good in the air!But hopefully we bring in some young natural centre halfs!!

    id take doherty out of that team and francis rest looks good but think jackson will be key this season so would have him instead of waggy

    S**t, I genuinely forgot Jackson!Would have to replace Waggy with Jacko, but would come with great reluctance!I feel for Waggy, thought he had a decent season!

    I was literally working off what we got, Dailly isnt ours yet and ????? doesnt exist!

    Hopefully it will be two new centre backs though and im not sure about Solly either. Im still hoping we get Wiggins in as well.

    I'm expecting a 4-4-2 but if not Powell will probably go for some sort of 4-3-3. Just a question of was he trying it last season as he thought it might suit the players, or was it the formation he wants to play in the long term.

    Can't see Alonso or Stephens signing for us to be back up, surely they'll both play if fit (unless Alonso is seen as needing time to adjust).

    Maybe we'll only see one of Hollands or Jackson on the left of midfield in the Graham Stuart Johnnie Jackson role.

    Why is no one picking Alonso in their starting X1? I have know idea what our team will look like next year coz I don't know how good any of the new signings are. It's all gonna be interesting though, me thinks.

    Probably because very few have seen him play I'd imagine and with the recent headline grabbing additions of Green and Stephens they are taking the priority.

    I personally think Alonso might be one of our most important acquisitions

    I'm not so certain that Alonso won't be a big player this season. Has real experience and pedigree to offer. I admit he might take a while longer than some of the others to settle but that's only a might.

    As long as Alonso is fit I'd start with him, two good CBs and Hayes/BWP and we have a strong and experienced spine.
