Player contracts were supposed to end on 30th of june, how come we haven't heard anything about who has been released/offered a new contract?

It seems everyone who was out of contract other than Dailly has left the club. As Powell asked Dailly to come in to pre season training and he accepted.

It looks like Semedo, Llera, Fortune, Reid, Anyinsah etc have all been 'released' however we do know Semedo was offered a new contract on reduced wages and it looks like he'll be playing elsewhere next season.

Dailly took a deal late last year; remember that he IS his agent and does his own deals. I like to think he takes deals late to save us some money as he's a good guy.

I don't understand why there hasn't been any confirmation yet. Ayinseh said on twitter a few months back his contract wouldn't be renewed.

Was mentioned in the OS article on Friday, albeit tucked away in a late paragraph.

Would be good to have a clearer and more definitive statement but maybe there is a reason why the Club hasn't done that.

The club pretty much did confirm it-

Kelly Youga, now out of contract, reported back for some light work, while Christian Dailly, whose deal has also expired, attended Thursday's gym session.

But Joe Anyinsah, Jonathan Fortune, Michael Stewart, Kyel Reid, Miguel Llera and Jose Semedo were not present in SE9 after their contracts came to an end.

It was the same last year with Dailly, he didn't play in the first friendly and had an extra week off. Signed a contract about a week into July. Basey came back but didn't get a new deal in the end.

From that, I suppose that we can assume that Dailly and Youga may still decide to be part of the squad next year (if they agree to reduced contracts, presumably) - but the others have definitely departed for pastures new.

Still, no mention of the Doc anywhere yet....the plot thickens.

The gym session shows if the guys have hit their fitness targets from the end of last season.

With so many new players it can't have taken long.

Dailly will be fit and hopefully will sign in due course.

    Doherty has a contract.

Will not really need Youga now.

If they haven't got a contract the others don't concern us.

Docherty is in the OS photos of the team training at Sparrows Lane on Friday

    Ah, cheers Oggy.

Personally, I would rather not see him anywhere near the first team next season, so maybe it was wishful thinking!

Doc signed a two year deal. The reason he left Norwich was because they only offered a one year deal

Think the real problem is that he's a Doh not a Doc.

    His name is
    Gary Doherty

Fortune is an interesting one, CP said at Bromley that he would be offered a contract through his period of convalescence, but the club was not obligated to do so.  I was also told recently that whilst contracts ended on 30th June players received 1 months notice from that date so they continued to be paid in July.

IF that is true then Dailly, Youga and Fortune may be in no great hurry to complete negotiations on their new contract.

Thayt said its the first time I have heard about a one month payment into July.

CP said that at Bromley, contracts expire 30th June but players are paid until 31st July, ie a month in lieu of notice.

I really liked Anyinsah. Would love to see him go to another club and do well. Maybe Bournemouth.

If he'd stayed fit then I'm sure he would have been retained, a forward line of Anyinsah and BWP would be fun to watch, but if you look at his career record he's spent more time in the physio's room than on the pitch.

Most staff members on monthly salaries are paid 1 month in arrears.
    So nothing new here.

under employment contract law i guess they need a months notice to keep it legal, hence the months pay in lieu of notice. Notice begins 30.6.11
