A pair of Robins have nested in my garden and have 3 chicks.

If they survive I predict a great season ahead of us. If the crows or cats get them we are doomed.

I'll keep you informed.

5 young.... meaning we will finish 5 places above our current place... it's a sign we will come 1st in league 1 and claim the title!

I saw some angry looking hornets this weekend.  Must've missed out on another signing.

Fingers crossed PL54....it would be unlikely if they all made it (it's a nasty world out there for a wee chick), but I hope that at least one of them survives to see us lift the trophy next May!

    All the best...

All quiet on The Robin front.

Nature will take it's course but I have laid on unlimited mealworms and crow-watch to help them along.

Also just noticed a Collared Dove nest with 2 eggs in - not sure what footballing comparison to make of that.

Player could be pigeon-toed, definitely a winger. Anyway, Norwich City used to play at The Nest.

Not great news - nest is empty and they certainly didn't look big enough to fend for themselves.

One has made camp in a fir tree and parents are feeding it every 5 minutes. No sign of the other 4.

    The season is doomed.

Sounds like magpies attacked the nest. We're plagued with them where I live.

Just checked it out on line - all very natural for them to leave the nest and still need to be fed.

Not sure where the other 4 are but at least one is fine.

We're gonna' win the league !

PS - domestic cats (vermin) kill 45 times more baby birds than natural causes.

You must have done a lot of birdwatching, PL54  .........to count them all.

Always had a love of the great outdoors, flora and fauna mate.

Cats and Concrete - both have a similar effect on a lot of the wildlife that tries to remain in our cities and less rural areas.
