seems like a genuinely nice bloke and couldn't have looked more pleased for the young lad he was playing with yesterday (named after him!), even held back walking down the 18th so that he could enjoy the moment.

Absolutely ,the only MP who had the courage to take on the Murdoch Empire even when it was unfashionable and he received personal threats.

The same as his namesake who just got a hole in one.

Golf can't be that difficult if a 63 year old can score a hole in one?

He might be able to score a hole in one - but he's not going to shoot four rounds of 66 to win a major championship, although he was absolutely incredible a couple of years ago when he ran Turnberry for 71 holes. Obviously golf isn't like football, or rugby, or even tennis - but look at current pros and tell me they're not athletes. Not enough was made of Watson's efforts at Turnberry in 2009. If he had won that tournament, it would have been - with no exception even close - the greatest sporting achievement of all time.
  • Met him today had. Nice chat wished him agll the best followed him for most of his round till time to go, just leaving now great day again
