But seriously, I always cheer for the British clubs, and always have.
Kinveachyaddick makes a good point, and we know quite a few Manyoo fans claim to feel the same too. The reason is simple, they feel it's okay to choose to follow a club that is miles from where they live, and attach themselves to a bit of glory but they can't quite bring themselves to claim to support Brazil (or Italy as they are the current WC holders). As they are lumbered with being English, who will not bring them the imagined reflected glory they crave, they claim not to be bothered.
I wonder how many of them didn't watch England in the WC or didn't cheer when they scored...0 -

To be fair, you almost certainly have a better informed opinion than i have, but all clubs have fans who come out with tosh, and i'm not sure it's right to take it as the view of the majority of their fans.0 -
from what I can gather that is the general consensus among Liverpool fans but of course it might be something of a generalisation
will be interesting to see if there are many St George/Union flags there tonight0 -
liverpool have a lot of fans from all over the world, many whom will be there tonight. the club team they support is the important thing, not what country they're from.0
