Pleased about this signing as players with his experience dont come round too often and of course a firm Charlton favourite. If only Clive Mendonca would suddenly spring a new lease of life all our problems would be solved.
My Dad works with his niece and she said that he is now a grumpy man who hardly goes out or does much : (
He should post on here then and join the rest of us.
  • Welcome back Jase.

Similar to Andy Hughes, covers a couple of positions and has vast experience- will help the younger players aswell. Won't start 45 league games but will have a role to play and hope he can weigh in with some important performances and goals if needed.

Euell has announced on face book he will be wearing number 17 proud!

"I just want to say a huge thank you to all the supporters for the messages – AFC Wombles fans that was on the “ Bring back Euell” shouts I wish you and the team all the best for the season and will be looking out for the results, now being back in London I hope to try and get to some games. CAFC fans I’ll be wearing the no.17 shirt. Lets make it a good season and see us get back up to the Championship."

    You off out?
No - I was gonna be the first one to make a negative comment, and while I was writing it you were writing yours about negative comments.  Didn't have the heart...

Anyone know the words to the euell song ??

    :)

Where's all the 'never go back.' posters?

I stick by what I said.  Which was, If Euell is additional to 2 strikers (1 target & 1 pace) then no problem if he is in place of a target man then I'm not so happy about it.  The OS site summed up exactly how I see Euell a "midfielder cum striker".  We know he can't play with his back to goal as a target man, which was also stated by Curbs.

However, Euell can be the icing on the cake if we do get an aeriel target player, as he gives us something different to what we have and will certainly ruffle a few oposition feathers.

Personally I think CP is still likely to sign a target player and maybe a young pace player on loan.

The thing that concerns me is his age. We should have signed him 10 yrs ago.................

Really happy with this signing. Was always a fan of Euell, never one to hide.

Great for the squad in that he can play up front or as an attacking midfielder.

Suspect he might well get a run out against Reading in the cup. The squad is looking stronger and stronger.

Don't let Euell's niece diss your dad like that.

    - This response made me laugh uncontrollably for, literally, minutes.
