    I do realise height isn't such an issue for a midfielder and we were discussing fullbacks and goalkeepers - but someone mentioned Allan Simonsen and he wasn't either

    And throw in that neither Evra nor Cole are any taller than Solly.  Height is not a prerequisite of a full back.

    Good point. And, if we are talking full-backs, then let's not even mention Greg Halford or Paddy McCarthy's comical attempts to play at right-back under Pardew.

    You'll find that I started this thread to point out the Bury keeper is the same height as Solly, hoping that it will stop all this silly talk about his height being an issue................bloody been hijacked. ;-)

    I always though Halford was decent - didn't do his best for us but a good championship full back.
