team 2 but would be a tight game0

Team 1 for me - a bit more guile, and would rely on Taylor to keep BWP quiet!

Not bad couple of teamsFor me Team 1 as Taylor in defence then Green to supply Benson/Hayes0

Joking aside, people forget Doherty was runner up in the Norwich player of the year poll only 24 months ago when they walked the league.where is Doherty !!!!
He can do a job at this level and isn't bad for a reserve centre back.0 -

Norwich must have been awful that year then.

Don't be nasty to Doc.0
-
team 1 would edge it 2-10
-
team 1 just, stronger midfield0
-
Sullivan is a worse keeper while Waggy and Solly would run that side of the pitch. Hayes and Benson wouldn't work while Alonso would run the show.
5 - 1 to the Number 2s

Team 2 would do the business i reckon, but would be a close game.

Team two for me. Stronger spine: Hamer, Morrisson, Hollands, BWP0

If circumstances demanded it, would you be gutted if either one of those teams were picked for a league match/
Are both of those teams stronger than the Charlton of last season/

Apart from putting Mambo in there ahead of Doc (which I don't agree with) I noticed that you also failed to include Hughes. Surely gets the nod on Alonso, considering no-one's actually seen him play yet?

Actually Hughsey has already been knocking on my door ready for a tear up over his omission. I told him he had his chance against Reading, and now it's time to see what Alonso can do. Gotta admire his spirit though.
Doc got lost on his way to my office.

I'd back the team with Hollands in it to win. Think he's been the difference this year. Or a major part of why we're doing well.0

Both do look very good teams. Whether individually they are better than last years is uncertain, after all teams are not static in terms of performance; they have good games and bad games. Would these teams beat the team that (on the day) demolished Peterborough at London Road? Possibly not. Would both of them beat the team that was so hopeless at home to Leyton Orient? I'd like to think so, but you can never say definitively so. What is so exciting about this season is that we have such strength in depth that we can seriously discuss this as a possibility. In the last few years we've seen a few good teams "on the day", but many more disappointing ones. It's been a long time since you could put together two very decent teams from the Charlton squad. Times are good. Are both of those teams stronger than the Charlton of last season/
