Anyone on here know how to write iPhone apps?

We need one developing for work and the person we use (who said he could do it) now tells us that he is reading up on how to do it and has just bought a Mac.  He also tells us it's harder than he thought it would be.

Just wondered if anyone on here knows what they are doing or knows any decent contacts
