I know it’s not Charlton, but I’ve bought tickets to League Two football this past season and the ticket is instantly in my Apple Wallet.

I find it fascinating how different brains work.

The club announce on Tuesday that tickets will be with supporters within 48 hours, not even 24 hours have passed and people are emailing them.

You’re not waiting on the post, it’s just an email. Chill out, they’ll turn up and if they don’t it will get sorted.

I emailed the club asking when I will get my tickets.

    They replied

Shut up fatso and be patient.

As a rational adult, I’m glad I could help.

The ticket staff are busy, and they’re not helped by having to answer emails that are asking questions that have already been answered.

I must admit I’m nervous and this waiting around for an email is not helping my productivity. They still appear in my ticket account and I have paid, but given I went through a cancellation process when trying to swap to better seats I’m hoping my tickets haven’t been lost somehow. 🙏

That's true. But it's also up there with "everyone who wants a ticket will get one". Experience tells us that these sort of statements aren't always true, and there was the fiasco last time of people having to queue up on the day at Wembley to get their  tickets.

But yes, people should learn to read a bit more!

How did you add the ticket to your Apple Wallet?

I get there is an inconvenience factor if your tickets don't arrive, but if you've purchased a ticket you will be in that stadium on Sunday.

The club said within 48 hours you should have received tickets and yet people are ringing and e-mailing after about 20 hours.

I'm speaking as someone who made 3 separate orders and haven't received any tickets yet. If they have not arrived by this time tomorrow and I see that the large majority of fans have received theirs then yes, I'll probably think about contacting the club, not 4 days before the game.

Not sure how a lot of people would survive if they went to any UEFA games when the QR code only appears on the app a couple of hours before.

The first message on this was 'after 5 on Monday' followed by some gaslighting bollocks about the new kick off time. So some cynicism is warranted.

People saying everyone should get a ticket if they want one is not the same as the club saying tickets will be emailed within a 48-hour period.

Last time, fiasco was also caused by postal issues. We're dealing with email only this time.

Understand the slight anxiety of waiting, but it's a bit like waiting for your luggage at the airport, when part of your head is saying your bag is missing and the other is saying it'll turn up in a minute.

Are people getting emails or just entries on their Charlton a/c?  I’ve got the entry on my account, no options to do anything with them, and no email.

After the game, and therefore too late, would be ‘after five on Monday’.

Still no sign of my tickets. My purchase was screwed up for the 2019 final so hopefully not a repeat.
