    I still maintain that Cheers is the greatest sitcom of all time. 

    Also never knew he was Jason Sudekis (Ted Lasso) uncle.

    The theme tune is one of those evocative ones - takes me back to watching it on the black and white TV in my bedroom.

    Loved his character in cheers and suspect there was a lot of the real him in it. Had a few mates like him which made it even more poignant. RIP mate - you gave us bags of laughs and warm feelings

    Really funny in Cheers, but a really good actor beyond that role.  Genuinely shocking to realise how most of the cast (other than Coach) were born within a few years of each other.
    Spent almost 20 minutes last night watching a compilation of his show entrances, some hilarious lines.
