A lot of empty seats in the Orient end, including a few whole blocks in the upper tier. Meanwhile our end was packed throughout. We must have had at least 10k more fans then them. A testament to the relative size of the two clubs.
To be fair, we knew that anyway. And the Orient fans in the top tier were like statues during the game, a massive difference in the singing and noise between the fans, even before the goal
Wellens was having a right go at full time at the match officials
If he'd managed to scrape a win, you wouldn't hear a peep out of the guy...sore loser, it was the same for both sides I think you will find, get over it man.
Appreciate the manager turned things around, but have some dignity. Centre of attention against Wycombe, and walks down stairs from Wembley with cup. Take a back seat any let your players/captain enjoy the moment. Far more dignified in my opinion
Sad that’s the thought on the day. I was delighted to see him or anyone carrying it.

I completely disagree fwiw. How do you know the players didn't suggest it.
We have had plenty of managers who didn't have the passion. One or two did but were unsuccessful. He has combined his passion with winning. That's rare in my book. Well done Nathan!

NJ is absolute box office. Don't mind any of his antics because it tends to raise the profile of our club.
Will Mannion's improved ability and confidence is surely down (i m o) to keeper-coach Stephen Henderson, who was a very good keeper for us in the not too distant past
On about 65 minutes, an Orient player made a run down the left. Gilbert was on him, but gave up chasing him back. I thought to myself, NJ won't like that! Sure enough, Gilbert was hooked a few short minutes later.
Not a classic but a fabulous defensive performance from us yet again. Three play-off ties, three clean sheets.
That's why we're Championship!
He was the one player who was of no use today. Really poor. Not good enough for the Championship certainly.

I’d imagine one of Mannion or AMB will depart. I’d say Mannion would be adequate next season but I’d prefer a new GK coming in with Mannion number 2

Yep I reckon both him and McIntyre won't be around the Valley next season.
Weird afternoon, obviously over the moon that we won yet feeling underwhelmed. I don’t think we played well, I think that general nervousness played into the stands (and this was a stadium that felt like 40,000 Charlton fans were here) and the atmosphere was very muted compared to the two other playoff finals in my lifetime.
So proud that we’ve done it, about to get obliterated back in south east London, but slightly less euphoric that previous times.
We can (and will) analyse the performance in great depth, and then over the coming weeks we will go on to ponder our prospects next season - who we should retain, who we should move on, who we should buy, how we should play - all the things that keep us engaged and intrigued during the summer.
For now, let's just glory in yet another Wembley based promotion and give all the credit in the world to Nathan Jones and his backroom team, all the players and the fans, who have played a major part in creating and maintaining the momentum which took us from bottom half in December to success in the play offs. Outstanding.

Much better to have the ball for five minutes and be productive with it.

No, 198something, the Full Members Cup Final. I've tried to wipe the details from my brain
