No 6-7 yr old kits for 8-10 weeks, spoke to the shop today.
Not an even an option for any kit on the website. Goes from 4-5 in infants to 7-8 in juniors.

Yeah guessing that's why, same for both kits. Looking forward to him having a kit for autumn 😆

Likewise! My son’s birthday is September so could be good timing!
  • What level of outrage are we at?
  • Wont be able to play in the away kit when we travel to -

    Preston
    Derby
    Swansea
    Coventry

    Potentially QPR/Leicester too

but then we'll just wear the home kit - not sure even with a 3rd kit it'll ever get worn????
  • I like it. I agree with another poster though that it should have a blacked out full charlton logo.

haha yea was basically just working out which teams we'd be wearing the home/third kit against.

Third kit is going to be wild looking I reckon!
  • Is there a date the third kits getting released?

Or relatively plain given we’ve got an out there away kit

  • Only teams we'll need to wear a third kit against are Sheffield United, Stoke and Southampton  I believe (red & white stripes). Maybe Boro too due to the large white hoop they've got this year.

    all black it is then...

The fact it’s split people shows it’s good. Better than being vanilla.

    Is that similar to ecru?
  • Should have a neapolitan kit, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate.
  • Both these strips are bogging 🤮
  • Big mid 90s J League feel to the kits so far
  • Away kit is awful - and with that badge nobody will know who it is. I've sent it to a few people and there first response is 'whose kit is that'

We wont need to because none of them clash with our kit, which is red.

Surely there is no colour clash between our away kit and teams wearing red and white stripes?

White doesn't clash with red and white, so why would a white and blue kit clash?

I take it the few people you've sent it to are not Charlton fans. Every single Charlton fan would recognise the sword emblem as us, and I couldn't give a flying f*ck what non-Charlton fans think.
  • Not to become a single issue poster but I’ve had people start conversations about Charlton with me when wearing a shirt with just the sword and I live in a small town where everyone is either a Peterborough or PL fan. It’s more well known than you’d think
  • Ahhh I don't know if I'm a fan of it or not.

    Pattern - yes
    The blue - ehhhh nah.

Will you buy it irrespective of how many times you will wear it? That’s the only true measure.
  • I like the shirt. Shame they didn't go with black shorts

Need an updated shirt for gym work, how the 3rd looks decides the winner from the Reebok entries.

Overall I like it, someone is trying really hard at Reebok, maybe a little too hard but that’s preferable than knocking out a boilerplate kit. I do like the sword only logo. Not sure the problem people have with the RSK logo, it could be so much worse, although we do seem to have it a bit big. Not a bad kit at all, I expect it will be really popular.
Agree on RSK, it's a bit big maybe but it's monochrome, colour is kept in line with the shirt colouring, it doesn't say anything weird etc.

Much, much worse looking sponsor logos out there.
  • Don't mind it. Don't massively care. More interested in who we bring in to wear it.

However, where was the promo shot?   I think maybe the Golden Chippy in Greenwich, but not sure?
