Regardless of your opinion on what's been said, displayed and reported a football forum isn't the ideal place to discuss it. Ultimately most of us are entrenched in our view for a personal reason and unlikely to change it because of something a poster on a forum we will never meet has commented. That isn't to say that discussing it isn't important but that we are all faceless individuals here and it's incredibly hard to have a nuanced discussion. It often just becomes a series of gotchas or questions/statements that leave no space for discussion only arguments. Chat about it with your mates and your family and you'll still find a broad spectrum of opinions and thoughts to discuss and debate
It would be an all-time low if the Glastonbury thread (an appreciation and observation of the joy of such varied music) got closed because of political/religious/dogma laden/woke/anti-woke bickering - as a couple of others have been recently.
Can we please be adult and stick to the music? There are plenty of online cesspits where the discussion can continue.
Libertines have really tightened things up. Every time I’ve watched them on tv before they sound an absolute mess but this comes across pretty well. Amazing what swapping heroin for cheese will do to you.
Watched kneecap, music was quite good tbf, but couldn't get into the anti-britishness unfortunately, they nearly but didn’t quite get the same hype from the crowd as Soft Play/slaves did.
Not Glastonbury but I saw Simple Minds at Lincoln Castle last night. Excellent performance, tight band and old Jim's voice is strong. It's a superb venue with a long list of summer concerts by all types. Supported by China Crisis to reinforce the 80s feel.
You can always rely on Rod Stewart to put some eye candy up on stage, which may or may not be to avoid people thinking about his voice. Bless him.
I think, like retirement, there should be an age limit to performing. McCartney; Stewart, Daltrey & Jagger are all now in their 80's (or close to it). Their voices have gone. Time to stop touring & performing. Let's remember them in their heyday.
Ain't it great to see so many making live music? Tight and well rehearsed. I saw the Faces years ago at the Crystal Palace bowl, this is providing a nice amount of nostalgia. Go for it Rod.

But as you say he's 80 so fair play.
I've seen them better and worse.

Currently on BBC2 they have some woman playing.....
Edit.
Ok. Found it on the red button. Very confusing. Why highlight him as one of the main events but then not show him live from the start of his set.
A but like having the FA Cup on the red button but on the main channel having an U21's game.
