Another loss for Brighton to pile the pressure on Hurzler0

What is it about? Moaning about not winning a trophy in ages, then immediately sacking the manager who does? I don't 'get' Spurs at all. Please explain.JohnBoyUK said:Dare I say bit of a coincidence De Zerbi left Marseille by mutual consent last night?
Not sure he is the right fit either tbh.
I'll be totally honest, other than saying Poch, who actually gets what the club is about, I couldn't tell you who should be the next manager or who we should go for.0 -
You know the Spursy thing to happen would be Frank to end up at Forrest and saving them, don't you?KBslittlesis said:Glad Frank has gone. Fecking hate him and his fecking white board bollix.
100% he’ll end up at Palar5e and I can hate him even more.
Our household is going to be awful come the end of the season……….bring out the gin!!!!!3 -
I refer you to the High Performance podcast interview he gave this week.jimmymelrose said:

Ange was on The Overlap podcast/youtube episode today, he was very honest about his experience and the club as a whole.jimmymelrose said:

I'll be totally honest, other than saying Poch, who actually gets what the club is about, I couldn't tell you who should be the next manager or who we should go for.He described Spurs as "curious" and that there was/is no belief at the club to win things and they shouldn't be described as a big club anymore.1 -
Quite telling wasn't it. Especially with the players he put on his wanted list and got none of the 4.stoneroses19 said:

It was. Thought he spoke very well about it all. Although not good for you and rest of fans, if that is what it's really like behind the scenes.JohnBoyUK said:

Spurs are a medium sized club in a big shiny new stadium, like West Ham and Everton, nothing more.
The type of club Birmingham is hoping to become again with their shiny new stadium.
It's not actually about results really, as long as they get close to a sell out and can host some NFL games and concerts, they're happy

Can see Thomas Frank ending up there if they do sack Hurzler.MarcusH26 said:Another loss for Brighton to pile the pressure on Hurzler2 -
Well its no different since the days of Redknapp, when he asked for Tevez and Gary Cahill from Bolton and ended up with Louis Saha and Ryan Nelson from Blackburn on loan.stoneroses19 said:

ENIC are ENIC. They always want to buy potential and not the finished article. Reflected in paying below to average market transfer fees but back it up with piss poor wages to not complete. Consistently bottom of the wage to turnover ratio.
They couldn't give a f*ck about the running of the football side of the business and its why most of us have been ENIC out since before they tried to take us to Stratford.1 -
Made me chuckle

Would 40 points be enough to survive?

Think Frank will be in Croydon with the Nigel's to replace Glasner. Brighton will appoint another algorithm manager from Tony Blooms stats machinecovered_end_junior said:

Arsenal barely clung on to a 1-1 draw against Brentford. Gap is down to 4...0

I feel like Ange is stretching the truth a bit with some of the players he said he wanted.JohnBoyUK said:

Guehi was never going to leave in the summer of 2024. Palace rejected a few bids from Newcastle and i think the final one was about 70m. Plus you had Romero and VDV so what one of them gets dropped?
Was anyone really after Semenyo in 2024? He scored only 8 goals the season before. It was only after he did well last season and then again in the first half of this season that his name became linked with bigger clubs.

All managers do this. You can want whoever you want, they will all have wanted Messi, Haaland etc., you need to be realistic with your targets and get creative with itChris_from_Sidcup said:

Tudor in at Spurs.
He almost always uses a 3421 formation. Not sure how that fits in with Tottenhams squad.0 -

Nor do I!stackitsteve said:Tudor in at Spurs.

We have played with 3 at the back this season, you would think it would be vdV, Romero and Danso (who looks more than capable when he has played!)
The wing backs will pick themselves when fit.
Porro, Spence or Gray on the right, Udogie or the young Brazilian teen we've bought on the left.
Solanke will play up top.
Xavi will presumably play in behind with one other. When fit, likely to be Kudus this season then hopefully Maddison and Kulusevski next season.
Only argument who plays sitting in the middle. Is that Gallagher and one other? Palhinha for experience, Sarr for some extra legs, Bentancur when fit, Gray has played competently there this season in Europe.
I'll go and record and say I've got absolutely zero confidence this is the right move by the board.
Its even more bonkers now that it has come out the board fired Frank against the advice of the CEO AND the DoF, Lange. They were overruled.
It defies belief that they sacked Frank without a contingency plan already in place.
It also defies belief that they allowed the other DoF (Paratici) to leave when he was totally against Frank and wanted Tudor in (allegedly), they let Paratici to go, then they sack Frank to replace him with Paratici's choice.
I just don't get it any more. Its making my head hurt quite frankly.fenaddick said:

I'd be seriously concerned if Davies was anywhere near the starting XI if everyone was available.
Now this is an argument I've had with my Spurs mates for the last 6-7 years. You know, he is a great servant and all that, been at the club for over a decade, great pro etc etc heard it all before but he is a prime example of a player that was clearly never good enough to start every week yet he was given contract extension after extension. He never had the legs to play at LB or CB, was always 2-3rd choice at best and should have been moved on before Poch had even left.

Who is the decision maker at Spurs these days? Is it Vinai the ex-Arsenal guy or would it come from the top from Joe Lewis?0
-
Technically Joe Lewis is barred from having any influence and his son in law is running the show. This must be a Vinai decision thoughChris_from_Sidcup said:Who is the decision maker at Spurs these days? Is it Vinai the ex-Arsenal guy or would it come from the top from Joe Lewis?0 -
Joe Lewis' daughter Vivien, son Charlie (both on the board of Tavistock Group who owns the majority of ENIC) and Nich Beucher, Vivien's husband.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Who is the decision maker at Spurs these days? Is it Vinai the ex-Arsenal guy or would it come from the top from Joe Lewis?
(Allegedly all 3 have been ardent Spurs since their youth!)
But let it sink in. Paratici wanted Frank sacked and replaced with Tudor. Vinai (the CEO, ex Arsenal) and Lange, the other DoF wanted to give Frank more time so Paratici walked and went to Fiorentina.
Yet here we are 2-3 weeks later, Frank has gone and Tudor is on his way in. Absolutely bonkers.3 -
Arsenal timewaste for 15 mins before conceding a 93rd minute equaliser away to Wolves1
-
What a terrible error by Arsenal. That could really cost them.0

Ha ha, take that you time wasting wankers1

Couldn’t happen to a nicer team.fenaddick said:Arsenal timewaste for 15 mins before conceding a 93rd minute equaliser away to Wolves
Trossard’s antics after the slightest of nudges was fucking embarrassing. The way he went back down again to milk as much time as possible out of the substitution that was already going to happen anyway was pathetic too.
Edit: And they always show themselves to be the most classless team out there. Seems to me that there is always a ruck at the end of any game they don’t get the result they want. Pricks.3 -
Arsenal have started bottling it a bit earlier than normal.0
