    75 Quid !!! Bloody Hell
  • I'm quite old and easily shocked at the price of tickets, but it is what it is and people pay it.

I went to see Bonnie Raitt at the RAH in the week and the ticket price was £70.  It was a last minute thing and I got a freebie ticket so didn't even moan about the £31 I paid for the lemonade, beer, sausage roll and sarnie ... in fact I was quite relieved that the restaurant there was fully booked and could have been awarded an Oscar for my feigned disappointment.

Anyway, imo Bonnie Raitt put on a great show and was worth the money (if I'd paid it).

How much are some people on CL prepared to pay for Oasis tickets? Four, five, six times as much? As with all these things, "one man's meat is another man's poison".

Exactly, I quite like Peter Kay & enjoy watching him on youtube but £75 ? I "only" paid about £90 to see the Cure for 2 & a half hours a couple of years ago.

As for Oasis tickets, i wouldn't go if you gave me a ticket  :D

Saw them back in the day at Maine Road, Knebworth etc

Didn’t even bother this time around as it’s ridiculously expensive

I wouldn't pay £75 for any of those whereas one of my two sons would happily do so for Oasis and the Cure. Now, if you were to mention paying that for Bruce Springsteen, it would take a nanosecond to ask "how do you want that?"

Jimmy Carr in Canterbury next month. Two nights. Now be honest he walks on with a microphone, so hardly massive staging costs…. £106 tickets at the back. It was a “NO” from me. I would have paid £60.

I know one of his earlier tours was called 'Mum Wants A Bungalow Tour'.  I presume this is, 'Mum Wants A Mansion Tour'. Incredible prices, and for that reason...

    ;)

If someone wants them at a lower price, I am certainly open to offers.

The title reminds me of @oohaahmortimer’s posts about his family.

Seen them at the Venue before the first album come out. They were shite then, and they're still shite. Wouldn't watch them if they were playing in the park up the road for free.

Mind you, I wouldn't pay 70 quid to see someone say 'Garlic Bread' for 90 minutes either.

I am actually going myself tonight. By contrast John Bishop tour upcoming is priced at £25 as a nod to his 25 years in the business.

Both are very good comedians in my opinion.

People pay to go Robbie Williams, and end up singing half the songs for him
