Season Ticket Advice

Hi,

I have always been a season ticket holder in the west stand however the cost might be too much this year.

Whats sitting in the north lower like, I am concerned about the weather being an issue such as sun in eyes etc.

Can anyone let me know how they find it?

I sit in the upper and always bring a cap with me.

Yes the sun shines in that direction.
A cap & sunglasses works if needed.

Hopefully he brought some from Luton with him.

Why not hold back on the ST try the North Stand and if you like it buy your ST there. Check with the ticket office that you get the initial cost of ticket back, that was the case once.

Alternatively you could buy the North Stand ST and if you did not like it ... watching a game from behind the goal gives a totally different perspective from side on. I've always tried to avoid behind the goal because my eyesight is not sharp enough to see the other end of the pitch action .... then you can upgrade to your original Stand later.

If you sit in the west stand because you like the view then the lower north will take a bit of getting used to.

It's definitely the cheapest seats for a reason, id try somewhere near the front of NU unless you want to stand.

Poorer legroom and rake. It really should be a safe standing area.

NW quad is perhaps cheaper but you still get the elevation to see the game.

View from lower CE is poor other than of the goal.

    Upper CE good but noisy!

CEL you need to sit in the back 10 rows and pretty central to have a half decent view, even then you can't see much of the other end of the ground, and the sun is in your eyes most of the season in the first half, and the leg room is fine if you're 5'6 and under, but if you resemble a normal male human being you'll struggle

Wear a baseball cap, or similar cap with a peak. It will very effectively keep the sun out of your eyes. Sunglasses are not really the answer.

If your eyesight isn’t good enough to clearly see the action at the other end of the pitch, it’s not that far away, don’t be like the posters above, get your eyes tested and buy some glasses.

Be prepared to engage with the match a bit more.

If only that were the answer as you get older

Could be wrong but I think the rake is actually too steep to install the safe standing

I'm never personally keen on North Lower. It's too low down to get a good perspective. Got my ST in the North Upper, far better view imho. Sometimes have to salute on a sunny day, but that's no biggie.

The back of the CE Upper where safe standing has been installed is steeper than the CE lower

Back two rows in covered end lower have superior leg room. I was going to keep this to myself as don't like too many knowing but given the general leg room negativity on here felt obliged to point this out.

My ST is in B block, yes when it rains you get wet. Yes the sun does get in your eyes.
But I love sitting there. Good banter with the regulars.
I have stood and sat around the ground over the years, and I would not swap B block for anywhere else in the ground.

I assume they were added when the upper tier was built

We are in Lower CE Block E - love it. You have to stand sometimes when we attack the CE goal, but that adds to the excitement! And ticket is so cheap it works out at £11.08 a game! Some rows are tight on the legroom, but ours is fine.

if you've sat in the west lower then north lower won't need too much adjusting to i wouldn't have thought. I've always sat in the north upper but occasionally sit next to my dad in the lower west and its like watching a different game - hard to get an idea of tactics / team shape and all that stuff but obviously you're closer to the action - its all just about what you get used to coz i was covered end lower before they built the upper tier and was happy with that then

Thanks all for the replies. I have gone for north lower - club said they are happy to upgrade my ticket if I choose to move back to west. Exciting season ahead!

Welcome to North lower, remember if you are seated in B block, formal attire is required.

I have purchased a solo season ticket. What process do I go through when bringing a friend to sit next to each other (if the seat next to me is sold)?
