Never have two people looked like their enjoyment levels are further apart!

Looks like they got to wear whatever was left in the lost and found box !
No sales of training kit in the club shop back then.🙂0 -
When did our current badge get created ? I just googled it and it said 1968… those pics seem to show that badge… but kits wise and generally, old pics, footage, pics of ground, it doesn’t seem like it was widely used/ apparently until the 80s ?0

Some work required here, but I'll get the ball rolling.
First picture ... Keith Peacock and Peter Reeves.
Second ... Mike Flanagan, not sure, Keith Peacock and Theo Foley.
Third ... a prominent Colin Powell.
Fourth ... Flanagan and Foley at the front, with the blond Bobby Goldthorpe hidden (left).
Fifth ... Powell, Hales and then Ray Tumbridge?
I'll work on the others.0 - Sponsored links:

I remember those pictures when they first came out. Think they were published in the Kentish Independent or Mercury. Training in those days was run, run, run. As a kid, I lived close to the Welcome Inn and they would often go running in and around the woods and up Shooters Hill. The early 1970’s .. they were very fit but crap at football1

Yes, good hit.
I'll offer Alan Ellis second from last in the fourth picture.0 -
4th. Is that Mark Penfold at the back?0

It shows the difference in physique between 1970s and modern players, who have far more muscle bulk from all the gym work they do now.0

But what a great time to support Charlton that was! Didn't feel the stress I get at games now! What Characters. And Killer and Keith my all time legends. And add a dash of Flash and Powell!4
