When Bowyer was manager, I hoped we might put an end to the Millwall hoodoo but it was not to be, losing home and away. Our last win was 29 years ago (let that sink in) - can it be any different under Jones? This match will be my 60th birthday weekend so I’m already prepared for the Charlton kick in the bollocks.
Millwall didn’t beat Charlton between 1995 and 2010, mostly because they weren’t good enough to share the same pitch (1996-2009), so I think we can probably agree that 16 years without a win (12 matches, including the 4-4 draw in 2009) is bad enough. It’s six seasons in reality.

Sorted. One for me and for my brother. But a lot of that chunk of the East Stand, block G near where Airman &Co sit, was already sold out.

Just wondering, if this sells out, will it be the first time for this fixture? I certainly can't remember a match where it did. I can remember the first one I went to as a kid, was 29,000, and there was a gasp when the announcer gave the figure at the end of the game. But that was the old Valley, could have easily handled twice that number

Seems as if they also have somewhat ridiculous loyalty points issues when buying tickets.

Wonder if StuWall will get a ticket ?

Indeed. Something about allocating ownership of tickets when buying online or in person .

I've only heard of this from our pal who purchases in person from the Ticket Office but the "process" sounded very odd /clunky as it required those who benefit from said allocation to ring the TO after the match had been attended in order for the points to be added to their accounts.....if you follow.

So, if this IS the case this season, why hasn't it been announced & clearly posted on the OS and especially the Purchasing Tickets link ???

Another example of lack of communication IMO which should be a priority and includes the issue around when ticket sales go offline on a matchday as someone posted in another thread.

I don’t want to go to this match by train due to threats and physical assaults by (some) Millwall fans over the years.
Hopefully it will be a dry day where walking and getting a bus becomes a decent option.
Heritage buses will ply the streets of Blackheath and Lewisham next month – offering passengers a free ride and a chance to go back in time on route 54.
Plans to run to Woolwich have had to be abandoned because of expected congestion from the Charlton Athletic v Millwall match at The Valley. The SE London derby kicks off at 12.30pm on the same day, and the museum had been planning the heritage day for months before the fixture date was known.

  • See Millwall have sold out their allocation, see on the socials that they are now going to try and get tickets in one of our home ends, that should be fun 😉

In my lifetime it has never sold out at home mate. Think my first Millwall game at home was the 4-4

Funny you should mention him, because I went online earlier to claim my season ticket seat and I can't because it's already been sold. Outrageous.

I don’t know what’s funnier, that actual thread or the fact that you all thought he was being genuine 😉
