I'm in bits here as just heard Terry Reid has passed away. He will always be known as the man who turned down Led Zep but he was far far far more than that. Seed of Memory and The River are probably his best LPs and he hasn't released one in a long time, but he had a wonderful late coda as a live artist coming over here about once a year. The gig at Jazz Cafe last autumn being one of his best.
I knew he was ill has his latest tour was postponed but his gigs were so personal with the stories he'd tell it feels like losing a close personal friend.
God bless you Terry and thanks for the memories.
