For all the improvements and tarting up around The Valley for the new season I've still got a massive complaint about something that's been missing in the top drawer of the Cupboard End:
Where's the lift or escalator to get me up to the back row of Block N?! I swear those steps get steeper and higher each sodding season ...2 -
There’s no place like home ❤️ It’s looking resplendent and the black .. wow. Really stands out

Jimmy Seed Stand is looking fresh2

I do feel for Gillesphey. Turned his game around last season, was excellent December onwards, scored the Wembley winner, dropped for Ding Dong. Harsh that.5

Zero surprises in that lineup. Bell ahead of Gillesphey might seen harsh but that additional pace will be very welcome, Apter was always signed to play RWB and I see Olaofe being more of an impact from the bench player than TC. Good to have JRC and Knibbs available from the bench, as well as Berry if we're chasing a goal late on2

His time will come this season.LargeAddick said:I do feel for Gillesphey. Turned his game around last season, was excellent December onwards, scored the Wembley winner, dropped for Ding Dong. Harsh that.4 -
Plenty of games to play himself back in. No time for sentiment. If he’s good enough, he’ll start games. Either way, isn’t it good to have squad depth and selection dilemmas?LargeAddick said:I do feel for Gillesphey. Agree, that bench looks impressive in itself...Garrymanilow said:Zero surprises in that lineup. No Geo-blocking of Charlton TV, at least right now. Ready to Go (Republica) on my headset.1

Watching Sky Sports Football, good to see that the referee (will hopefully) provide a clear countdown to Goalkeepers with the 8-second rule.
Howard Webb doesnt see it happening too often... Haha... Okay, unless thats because referees wont be consistent penalising it.0 -

Blimey no room for sentimentality in that selection as Mannion & Gillesphey (in particular) together with Leaburn and Berry find themselves on the bench.
Guess Jones has taken Curbs advice not to be too loyal.

I’ve just seen someone wearing a half n half scarf (CAFC/Watford). How the hell has this been allowed to catch on?1

Stream up and running... Ready to GO!!!
Where the hell has the summer gone, doesnt feel long enough since that day out at Wembley.0 -
Train just left London Bridge then stopped as someone pulled the alarm

The driver is now walking through the train to return to London Bridge. Which will take ages as the train is of course packed.0 -
Stream is up and running..loving that opening montage2

'haters' should be a word that is banished to room 101 but I understand you are just texting in the vernacular.
Many feel Docherty won't be up to it in the Championship; I hope he proves the doubters wrong and I hope TC can prove me wrong and prove Nathan right.
Every Charlton fan should want players to succeed when they wear the shirt even if the player isn't your 1st choice.
My manta remains who is on from 65 odd minutes could be very important for CAFC this season and we have a strong bench with even the 'injured' Mannion and no friendly games, Knibbs and Berry.
This is going to be exciting even for fans who have longevity !

Emergency solved. We didn't need to return to London Bridge, but are now 15 minutes latekillerandflash said:Train just left London Bridge then stopped as someone pulled the alarm

For those of us who have watched Australian Rules Football over the last 40 years, there's something about seeing the name "Carey" lining up at centre half forward that makes you a bit firm/moist (delete as appropriate) ...0

Bench looks very strong! Love we actually have some depth now0

It has to be; we've got nine buggers sitting on it this season.WHAddick said:Bench looks very strong! Love we actually have some depth now3 -
