I think those scores are harsh on Leaburn and Coventry and generous to Doc.

Shouldn’t we have scored Gillesphey and Knibbs as they played 20 minutes+ ?

Gillesphey and Knibbs entered the field of play in the 80th minute which under the rules of the gaffer, Lancashire Lad doesn't qualify for a mark which is surely correct.

The rankings reflect the relative performances in a just terrific team all round effort

Knibbs wins us the game, but doesn't get a rating, LOL

Only going on the stats which show them both with 21 minutes.

IF 7 minutes added time became 11 with more stoppages and the brilliant Goal celebrations 🥳
then 21 minutes on the field is correct.

Lancs lad can explain when the cut off time is 🤔

The ref added 6 minutes, and played about 6 1/2 minutes, making 18.5 minutes on the pitch!

If we can maintain that ‘Points per game’ stat, I’ll be happy.

not necessarily so, if the rest of the team had not kept the opposition from scoring then Knibbs goal would have been for nowt.

when I compiled the stats I was under the impression that the cut off was 30 not 20 mins,  my error

Didn’t take long did it Lancs for the questions to appear about your game…😉

yes it does sadden me as a lot of work goes into the stats but then stats are only good if correct and I made an error - mea culpa as the Romans would say. - I think???

    Agreed.
@lancashire lad does do a great job.

I do think it’s important that people feel able to flag up errors or even just questions and queries though. Having said that, I feel sorry for Lancs sometimes when people get a bit intense or pedantic. He doesn’t have to do this and does it out of the goodness of his heart. I don’t blame him for getting a bit irritated sometimes.
    I know I would.

Doc 6.26? Very generous, Coventry too high as well

with 141 sets of marks it is a good sample of Lifers views.

If they came on in the 80th minute, and the ref blew after 90+7, they were only on the pitch for 17 minutes. So not eligible for a mark!

Not a dig at you LL, it's more i find when we win everyone gets their mark bumped up. If Knibbs had skied it over instead of scoring in the last minute, then other players like Doc etc would have got marked lower - despite their performance being the exact same.

you make a very good point and there is nothing like a last minute winner to raise the optimism but it is what it is!!!

True. You can still criticise individual players when you win, as not everyone will have played equally well. And similarly, even if you lose badly, individuals can still have decent games.

If Watford had scored from the rugby tackle free kick that Docherty gave away, his mark would definitely have been lower...

I’m a big fan of the stats, and I’m pretty sure the course of the season they give a very accurate reflection of how well players have performed during that period.
However, over one individual match there are all sorts of factors that can impinge on accurate scoring.
Eyesight being one, and fielding a plethora of new players being another. And there’s also the wow factor. I noticed some great flicks and tricks by Rob Apter, but perhaps didn’t notice the interceptions, closing down and tackling by the likes of Docherty and Coventry.
In the case of Carey, who I described as having had a quiet game (😱), it was probably a combination of all three factors.

Lloyd Jones could be up there with the very good Charlton players we have had over the years. He just has to stay fit.

He has managed around 120 appearances over the last 4 seasons which suggests consistent fitness.

Doc played a massive part in out goal.
