Charlton Athletic Museum Flickr Account

Thanks to the fantastic band of volunteers, many of whom are lifers, the museum now have a Flickr account where, eventually, the tens of thousands of Charlton pictures we hold going back over a century, will be available to view.

Enjoy. Any comments or offers of help welcome.

    I noticed that.
  • Great photos, shame about the massive watermark on them, obscures quite a lot of the images, bit like the RSK logo on the shirts! Are you offering unwatermarked versions under certain circumstances?
  • Great idea and great photos.

But why on earth have you plastered Museum all over them - completely ruins the pictures and makes them not worth looking at.

Does it really matter if the odd picture gets downloaded? In fact, can you even copy or download pictures on Flickr?
  • We are fortunate to have a rich photographic archive, a great museum, and passionate museum trustees who are able to devote so much time to recording and documenting everything about our club, and this Flickr account, where I will lose many hours as it develops, is brilliant.

There are three matches that I would love to see images of, as they are either iconic or the last time the old East Terrace was genuinely packed.

    April 1975, Promotion v Preston.
October 1975, v QPR League Cup.
September 1976 v West Ham League Cup.

    I'm sure others have requests!
