Looks like Lennon MacLorg has been on loan at AFC Sudbury. Not sure if it’s been mentioned anywhere. No idea how long he’s been there.

They won 2-1 away to Redditch today.

They play in the Southern Premier League I believe.

Good spot, haven't seen that anywhere. He's played 4 games and conceded 12. Not adding him to my spreadsheet though, too far down the pyramid for me!

Don’t blame you! Strange one considering he went on loan to Braintree for a period last season who were in the National League and by all accounts done well.

Thinking about it, that move must line up well with the Tommy Reid recall

Weird recalling a keeper from the NL to send another one out to what the 7th tier of English football guessing it’s because Sutton’s first choice before Reid came back from Injury

Combo of both I guess, Reid coming back allowed Maclorg to go out
  • MacLorg has been on loan at AFC Sudbury since around 20th November. Strange the club didn't announce it as they normally do for the Academy boys going out on loan.

Is that both of Casey's loans combined?

Yes, league appearances only. Just realised he should have an assist from the weekend

I haven’t watched the highlights but still don’t actually know if Mbick got an assist or not

Not sure either, but I got 7 likes reporting the assist on the match thread 😄

As we're coming up to January I've got a hypothetical question. If we recall players as soon as the window opens can they play for us that day?

Generally players need to be registered by lunchtime the previous day so I assume this is the same

I thought as much. Fingers crossed our current strikers remain healthy and in form over Christmas period.

Reads as though the plan is to keep them (Kanu and Mbick) out on loan based on Cawley’s latest quotes from NJ.

Think that’s the right decision with Kelman now back (and hopefully Godden returning soon). Still a chance we bring Asiimwe back with us being short at wing back and not knowing what will happen with Bree

None of them especially Asiimwe are ready / good enough to be playing for us in the champ
we need to sign some experience in Jan not rely on youth and i think NJ will know this

Of course, but we’ve got games in January that I’d rather have Asiimwe playing at wing back than the alternatives if Bree isn’t with us

Also Asiimwe has been doing well in league 1 so not sure it’s “especially Asiimwe” when he’s doing well at a level above the other 2

If we played 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 I'd be happy with Bree but he hasn't the pace or trickery as a RWB.  Wiki puts him at 5'10" so I can't see how he can cover at RCB. (Chris Perry was a different era)

“They are both in a really, really good place. Now what we won’t do is bring them back, sit them in the squad and not give them minutes. If we feel they can come back to really impact and really give us some impetus then we will take that decision then. As it is now, they are going to remain out on loan but that conversation is open, because they are doing fantastically well.”

  • Probably worked out well for Walsall and Colchester that Kelman has returned when he has done.

And that Leaburn's just put in his best performance of the season.

Nope nothing for Kanu or Mbick for once and don't think Dixon got on for Crawley.
