Coach same price as Bristol, for almost double to mileage - seems more realistic to be fair.0

Hopefully the prices from now on will be a lot more reasonable.0

Fastest direct trains on the return journey depart Preston at 18.01, 19.06 & 20.00 & take between 2 hours 30 mins & 3 hours.
There are also slower direct trains via Birmingham in both directions but these take over an hour longer.1 -

First time for us . . .
Preston away is a solid away day for football fans, thanks in large part to the number of pubs in the city centre, all within walking distance of the stadium.
Regarding the stadium itself, away fans are placed in the Bill Shankly Kop at one end of the pitch. This stand is relatively modern compared to the rest of the stadium after opening in 1998 and offers a good view of the pitch, mainly when the action is down at that end of the stadium.
Typically, the stand is shared with home fans, and the standard allocation for Preston Sway is 3,000. However, for cup matches, this is increased to 6,000, and away supporters are entitled to the entire stand if they can fill it.
One brilliant feature of the Bill Shankly Kop is its steepness. Regardless of how high up the stand you go, you still feel like you are on top of the pitch, which helps fans to feel connected to the action.
Regarding facilities, the concourses are relatively modern and do the job. There are TVs and refreshment kiosks where fans can buy food and drink before kick-off and at half-time.
