Mocking our relegation in 99.
Attacking us at Hillsborough in 2014 and many other runs in with the 'orrible northern bastards.
The last time we were relegated it was because the efl didn't deduct their points for breaking the rules in the same season.
I'd be very pleased if they spent the next 20 years in Leagues 1, 2 or non league.
The following week the Mercury published a list of all those arrested. Oh how we laughed.0 -
Why black and gold, does anyone know?
Can't see they ever played in the colours like say Newton Heath colours for Man Utd protests?1 -

Nice round of applause from ours to theirs when they got the first loud Chansiri out chant going. Better still that the good people of Charlton can see these things in the bigger picture, (and not resort to a narrow-minded black and white view of all things!)

chappers said:Can’t stand em! Think it was first game of the season at home to them. They done us 3-0 and they were throwing bricks etc under the Random Walk tunnel. Seen a few things outside their place after the game, namely a few of them having a pop and at a father and Son just walking back to their car after the Jacko winning free kick game. I hope they rot especially after the dodging of relegation in 19/20.
I remember them saying 'you don't fuck about wit Wednesday, in northern accents.0 -

Guess if you want the gold for the rhyme there's only a few options - can't do blue or white, United do the green and gold, red is too Sheffield United.0 -
Wednesday will come out of this eventually, although the fact that Chansiri owns the ground is a complicating factor. The training ground is owned by Sheffield Council and the club have a 99 year lease for its use. It’s therefore hard to see that the club have very much at all in the way of assets, especially as Chansiri has been running it down in recent years.
I hope things get resolved, not least because Hillsborough is one of my favourite grounds. A very close and long-standing friend of mine (sadly no longer with us) was a Wednesday supporter and a member of London Owls. I’ve been going up there to matches with him since February 1984, when Wilkinson was taking Wednesday back to the top. I got home just in time to see the highlights on MoTD, with Bolder, Shirtliff and Madden featuring for Wednesday and Nicky Johns keeping the score down.I’ve spent many happy hours supping in The Fat Cat and the city’s other excellent hostelries.
The game at Hillsborough next April may well be our last up there for at least a season, as it is looking grim for Wednesday on the playing front. Even when they are eventually under new ownership, they will have to contend with multiple transfer embargoes. I have some sympathy for them but not much - our objective this season is survival and it’s always helpful to have at least one team (preferably two) cut adrift at the bottom. As the great Kevin Nolan says, it’s a brutal game of musical chairs in the lower reaches of the table.4 -
According to their forum, there were a lot of punch-ups between their fans yesterday.2

Saw two groups being split up in the away end nearest the Curbs stand. Stewards had to go in. Brought back some bad memories from the in fighting we had at times.0

On the busy train before the game yesterday they were in good voice and good humour, it was a very enjoyable few minutes. They have started to win me round from my dislike of them from the relegation game in '99.0

Fuck em, classless when we went down and celebrating. Bannon also, an obnoxious excuse of a human being.3

I thought the black and gold was simply because it's the opposite to blue and white in the colour spectrum?1

I feel for them a bit. Away from home, they have been decent but the opposite is true at home. Is all the background noise a factor? The problem is, despite showing some fight they are bottom of the table. The have a squad susceptable to injuries and weaknesses they can't address. A points deduction will be a disaster as it will probably be applied next season. But ultimately the only focus has to be to get rid of Chansiri. Sometimes you have to hit the bottom before you can start rising and they have to hope that is where they are as with us, I have thought we have hit it in the past when there was deeper to sink. I really hope the club survives. It has the size and fans to ensure that if it doesn't go under it will rise again. What I don't undertsand is what is in it for the owner now. Why doesn't he just walk away and accept he has lost whatever money he has put into it? Ultimately, it will have been his own fault.
Not sure whether they did it, probably not, but some representatives from their fans should have met up with some of ours about the protests. What you have to do is get press attention to your plight. Simply not attending home games doesn't get attention. Throwing pigs and beach balls on the pitch does but you need to find something original. They are wearing the scarves as we did with the black and white ones.3
