Avoiding the Championship was a smart move in Week 11. From the 6 Championship games, there were only 2 correct scores (both Charlton's), 22 correct results and 137 wrong predictions. Indeed, besides the correct scorelines of 1-1 by @soapboxsam and @Arsenetatters, no one else could foresee Swansea leaving The Valley with a point. @ken_shabby's predictions were not too shabby, while @fat man on a moped got on his bike and @Watameire didn't have a mare, as they were top scorers this week with a splendid 7 points. Charlotte: AFKA, 5 points and your best return of the season, you must be delighted with that?

AFKA: Very pleased Charlotte. You look at the fixtures list and you see Sheffield United v Derby and Southampton v Preston and you realise there are no easy games in this competition. But it’s been a good week at the training ground and the way we put our predictions together, I’m just delighted that’s been rewarded with the 5 points.

Charlotte: Finishing just 1pt short of promotion to the Premier League last season, it’s fair to say it’s been a challenging start. It must have stung when @thai malaysia addick so publicly humiliated you in Week 6 with the lazy jumpers for goalpost jibe?

AFKA: Look, no one likes criticism. It’s very easy for others to throw dirt but sometimes you have to stand tall…I mean be big enough to take it, and I’d like to think with my experience that AFKA Bartram is strong enough to wear that. Yes it was a tough start, but we have a great group with a fantastic work ethic. We know that if we work hard, continue to do the basics of spotting good home runs and away day melts, the results will take care of themselves. Sometimes the outside noise doesn’t help, but I work every day to ensure an AFKA Bartram prediction won’t be impacted by that. 

Charlotte- And how do you see the rest of the Predictions League going this season?

AFKA: We’ve got to keep believing as a group. There’s a togetherness, we’ve got momentum and we’ve got to keep building on that. Focus, do the basics well, don’t try outlandish away win predictions. Well stay professional, we’ll keep working tirelessly in the weeks ahead, I can assure you you will get that from an AFKA Bartram prediction, and god willing, we will keep moving forward together as a group.

TMA: Yeah, I'm sorry I sent you round to interview @AFKABartram just because he got a half-decent score for once.

Charlotte: Nah, it was fine. I nearly pissed myself laughing when he talked about being in the Couple of Jumpers division. 

TMA: Did he sound pissed off?

Charlotte: Lost his rag. Started ranting about you. Saying he should never have let you run the Prediction League. Mind you, he did point out that he's above you in the Prediction League this year, despite all the dodgy reverse alphabetical sorting.

TMA: I told you about that. I said I had to do really bad this year because I won it last year. The plan is that I do badly this season and find some fiddle to win it again next year.

Charlotte: Oh yes, you did tell me. Anyway, I can tell you he's pissed off. Mind you, he fancies his chances of being in the Premier League at the end of the Prediction League season. I nearly laughed in his face when he said that.

Because they don’t really exist! Hopeful Harriet always predicts Charlton to win 2-0 and Millwall and Palace to lose 2-0. Pessimist Pete predicts the reverse of these scores. Follower Fred copies the predictions of the previous week’s highest scorer. Someone tried to date Harriet recently; I had to explain.
