I love this Nathan Jones team - we must be right up there in number of late goals scored the last 12 months? Can’t be bothered to check right now.

Rode our luck tonight. There were times it looked like they would score, but the red wall is immense.
Key stat on TV. Now 9 wins and a draw, in last 10 midweek games. What a record. Only one home defeat to Leicester (which was unlucky) in 20+ games.

This team may not have much quality , but they have so much heart. As much as there are quite a few that wouldn't get in most Championship squads, out band of brothers are fighting for each other. They must be absolutely buzzing. To see NJ lead the players in jumping into the stand after we scored is just nuts.

He kept saying stick with me and we'll go on a great journey. Love it. Have we got our Charlton back, or an imposter that doesn't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?

I thought we were terrible tbh. Fullah in his 20 minutes did more than all apart from Carey and arguably Jones and Hernandez, who did well as a wing back. Bree was uncharacteristically negative with his passing and his set pieces were dreadful. Can't believe Docherty took the penalty, that had Carey's name all over it.

But...we stayed in it despite playing poorly and were rewarded with a strike from the main man which seemed to somehow go through their keeper. Left the ground absolutely buzzing. Could my crazy top 6 bet come in? I doubt it but you never know.....

  • Subs changed it, love the look of Fullah!
Cannot beat a last minute winner.
  • We just keep continuing to amaze. We rarely look particularly fluid and our strength is built in resilience but Christ on a bike we’re a tough side to play against.

Did anyone actually have faith in Docherty converting the pen? other then running round a lot this is nothing to his game. Why didnt Bree or Carey take it?
  • Someone has said it already but the gap to the drop zone is the most pleasing thing for me.

Some team this lot. Love them

How many 'last minute' goals have we scored this season? ... i'm counting 4 at least (Watford,WBrom,SheffU,Hull)
    Get in !

Brilliant subs from Jones. Transformed the game. Sonny Carey our main threat most of the game. Really, Leaburn and Campbell were ineffective. Fullah made a big difference when he came on. The match was dire for 80 minutes and magic for the last 10. I’m smiling!
Think that's a bit harsh on Leaburn. His header won the pen but, generally, he got penalised by the ref all night for f* all. He had very little support around him and crosses into the box were pony all night.
Think it was a difficult night for both Leaburn and Campbell

The former had to deal with crap long balls, which easily by passed Campbell, Fullah was so much more of an attacking threat compared to Hernandez, who despite a few decent runs, didnt show enough consistency going forward - Fullah / Knibbs came on and we were happier to play on the floor.
  • We will grind you down, pull you down to our level and then knock you out! Seriously though, great subs from NJ, bringing Knibbs and Fullah on. TC and Carey were getting no joy all night, pulling them deeper mixed things up and they could carry the ball to them.
  • We’ll have a big 6 pointer against Stoke for the automatics in a couple of weeks at this rate! Unbelievable.

Also sign Fuller to a 8 year contract

Hes like Ramsey on junior growth. Mad talent.
  • Also how good is Fullah!

Nathan Jones: "Nothing wrong with a 95th minute winner.

"I said to Sonny at the end to go and enjoy it. You don't often get 17 or 20,000 singing your name at the end.

"It would have been a travesty if we didn't win it." #cafc

Nathan Jones just makes an appreciative noise when he talks about Ibby Fullah.

"I don't think he made a bad touch all night. I told him to light the place up - and he did." #cafc

  • Unbelievable win against an established Championship team, Jones has done a phenomenal job with this squad, really quite extraordinary to think that a year ago we were losing at home to Crawley - and now this.

A football reporter mate of mine is about to do a piece on us and asked me 'what's the secret at Charlton?'

I told him that we have a system that is not necessarily pretty, but it is pretty effective, it's based on relentless pressing, getting men behind the ball when we are out of possession, and then playing on the break and being very strong on set pieces, I think that's a fair summary of what we do.

He was dreadful tonight. Didn't offer anything in either direction.

  • No luck about the goal - hit it hard and on target and sometimes you'll get a nick and a goal.

Carey could have played it safe and backpassed and the game ends 0-0. Instead takes a risk, turns their player and drills it.
  • Dreadful game, but what a signing Carey is proving to be. Top player.

As an aside, Fullah is gonna be some player
