A little bit worried. Are we waiting for an ankle sprain to convert into torn ligaments?
  • Hopefully the Kenyan coming in, can be considered for Lloyd's spot so he can have a rest.
At the moment can see a similar story happening with Lloyd, that happened to Matty this year, where we lose him for about 3-4 months because of the surgery that he has to go under in the summer.

If he needs surgery I think we should book him in as soon as we are mathematically safe from relegation (if we ever are)

Don’t think the medical team are going to allow him playing if they thought it was going to make the injury that much worse he doesn’t play for a large chunk of the season, that would be negligent on they’re part. I’d say he is playing because he can. They know more than any of us about the nature of the issue, anything else is just guessing.

Surprised he wasn't taken off yesterday. When Gillesphey was being readied I was sure it was going to be for him.

Think it may be the case similar to when Nathan Jones first came in that we play him as much as we physically can then if we manage to avoid the drop with a few games to go we start giving him more time off

Didn't the medical team do that with Goddard last season? At least that was the rumour.

Didn’t they say it was a bit of an odd one, calcification on the knee, doubt they would make the same mistake, if they did make a mistake, we don’t know for sure, so would be unfair to suggest that.

Supposedly split from his missus, carrying an injury, and is still giving 100 percent every game, what a player

Definitely not a groin injury then.

They split a few weeks ago but the news is now filtering out.

Ideally he shouldn't be playing but he’s not the type to let minor injuries stop him. A cult hero on his way to legendary status

His appearance in that reality tv show is showing on Netflix next week, almost 2 years after being made.

I heard the final straw for his relationship was his compulsive watching of @Braziliance vlog!!

Caught him plugging his vlog in the gent's toilets did they?
  • Such a solid and consistent player - wins nearly every header.
  • He's simply a joy to watch.

For years we have had a hole in the middle of defence. Thanks for being so consistent in dominance LJ!

His pockets must be really Comfy - Kone loves it in there.

Turned back into the vocal leader again with the help of Coady. There was a point yesterday where Ramsay made an error and Coady was yelling at Jones to have a pop at Ramsay and he basically said “I already am” and then had a pop at Kayne. It wasn’t in a falling out way but leaders working together to keep the team focussed

  • Not clear how he never played at a higher level before Charlton - has been such a key player for us.

Seemed to be largely playing off his weaker left foot yesterday. Makes his performance even more impressive.

I cant think of a better player we've had in his position, would have loved to see him alongside a fast player like Rufus.
  • Warrior and easily walking away with player of the season.

Let’s be honest, he has transformed into the player he now is because of Jones, didn’t look half the player before that.
  • Considering the Sky Comms team spent all game talking up Kone like the 2nd coming of Drogba, they finally give Jones the kudos he deserved for keeping him quiet.

Obviously not the first time he’s done this either.

In a world where football became obsessed with centre backs being able to pass the ball like prime Xavi and Iniesta, Lloyd (and Steve Cook last night) shows how priceless proper defenders are.
