what on earth are we doing! continued from tuesdays "lump the ball forward, and it comes instantly back in a dangerous attack"

  • Havent noticed Carey as much as the game has gone on, Docherty needs a rest and Knibbs needs game time, but feels like Carey is being neutralised a bit by having to play him back alongside Coventry

I must be watching a different game to some, think we’ve played well
Pretty happy here too. We’ve been a bit sloppy at times but should be winning.

That’s the bit of business that I think we could do with in January. We don’t have a direct replacement for Doc

Cleworth with the most blatant handball and most embarrassing limping cover up ever. Goes unnoticed
  • HT: 0-0

Happy with that half, disappointed not to be leading, we've had the clear cut opportunities, compared to Wrexham who have had more half chances that havent really threatened Kaminski in the same way that we've threatened Okonkwu

However we're the away team, so wouldn't be too upset to come away with a 0-0 at the moment

HT 0-0, well pleased the way that first half went, some bright spells, but we are dealing with the odd Wrexham attack, more of the same second half, and we will get a result here...

Think we're doing ok. Makeshift side really. Campbell doing a good job on their winger. Ibby looks a bit lost. Not sure this was the time to start him

Same happened at Hull. He can’t play that deep. Need an alternative/extra option to Doc and Coventry when they’re not playing - that should probably be Karoy Anderson.

Knibbs had to score, think I prefer Carey higher up.

We've been fine. Not great, not bad. They're not really coming at us with any confidence. We'll have the chance to win this one I think.

I don't like the way Carey's goalscoring threat is lessened, just to fit Knibbs and Fullah in.

Surely it is why we spent money to bring JRC here?

Pretty happy at HT, TC playing well and defending well against a decent opponent

If Knibbs had realised he had more time we’d be 1-0 up.

Personally think Knibbs interrupts our formation too much. I'd prefer Anderson alongside Coventry and push Carey up, then if Carey tires we bring Berry on for him.

  • Think we’ve been decent enough. Looked more fluid on the ball than we did against Swansea and West Brom.

Feels a very NJ, championship Charlton, performance so far.

Am a bit surprised by JRC's absence as well, he impressed me in that role during Pre-Season

Thought he'd go under the radar a bit this season for us

Except Kabore has managed 4 dangerous crosses against TC. We should at least be doubling up against him, as other teams do with TC

He's certainly gone under NJ's radar.

Agreed. Almost put his name alongside Anderson as another alternative. Jones clearly doesn’t rate either of them enough to start them in this league.

Feels like Jones is more wary of the bloke in the box (Moore), who is being double marked at times by Jones and Gillesphey

He's definitely gone under the radar this season. I think NJ has forgotten about him!

Knibbs is the one pushing on rather than Fuller, Charlton are looking to stop the delivery into Moore and have been successful so far with Kabore not getting a moments peace, all credit to Tyreece and Ibrahim for the shift they are putting in. I think Olaofe has done well, shown for everything and creating problems for the Wrexham backs. Keep this going Charlton.

Low scoring games in the 3pm kick-offs. 5 0-0's, and 1 1-0. Only one game with more than a single goal with 'Boro beating Brum 2-1.

Understand the points about Carey, Knibbs Doch, etc. but I feel like we're showing that we can swap players in and out, and while we might not look as effective in certain areas, we don't fall apart.
