Must admit to be very nervous about today Southampton have won both games since changing manager so could have turned a corner. No points today and looking at our next 2 games we could be firmly in the bottom half in a weeks time. 3 points though and pressure off on Tuesday
I think the next few games will probably stick us firmly in lower mid table, which let’s be honest we’d all have been delighted with at the start of the season and is arguably where this squad should be anyway.

Not confident but we have a proper team now so they have nothing to fear. Coyr.

Southampton weren't notably better in the two games after Still than before.  More a case of weak opponents and a bit of luck,  than a major change in form.

That certainly seems to be the view of their supporters.

The Saints will come down to earth with a bump today after their "winning run"...😉

Oh god we're doomed then... Leicester, Millwall and QPR fans were pretty confident they didnt stand a chance against us either

With the way we have performed in the last 18 months and the way we know the team will dig in whatever the circumstances I find some comments on here a tad disappointing.

When we've had low expectations of a game this team have tended to surprise us.

Bree is a big loss as without Edwards we need him or similar to balance the back 5. Hopefully 2 weeks to work on the setup and Hernandez and Apter know their roles and perform them well.

Looking at the bench I'm.starting to get 2019/20 vibes. Injuries mounting up & youngsters on the bench.

I’ve noticed it seems to be the default position of fans of almost all championship clubs.

Jones really doesn't trust Rankin-Costello does he. Turning out to be a bit of a strange signing
He must be wondering why on earth he signed.

I bet he is not a happy bunny.

Has potential to go that way if we lose another defender or 2 before Jan.

But Bree back next match. We will actually be able to sign players in Jan this time. Hopefully others back soon.

I think that’s the fundamental difference isn’t it. Our ability to replace in January which wasn’t there last time out

Good to see Apter back .. strange attack, dare I say a desperate choice in an attempt to end the goal drought

Looking forward to this, a test against a team whose record so far this season does not i m o reflect the Saints player strength
    Expecting a draw

Mine was muted on bottom of screen when loaded.  Turn on and it is fine...

Maybe. But presumably he certainly wasn't shit at Blackburn or we wouldn't have signed him.

Transport issues have put the kibosh on me getting to this. Gutted.
My gut feeling is a resurgent Saints and a jaded, depleted home side is going to make this a tough watch.
But Nathan always seems to make us competitive, so let's see.
    Same here - no trains.
  • Just enjoyed some Eggy Soldiers / Dippy Eggs (whatever you want to call them), got myself some chip stick crisps, and all ready to enjoy some Football in the warm and comfort of home - Yes I have the mental age of a 12-year old, but think we already knew that one

    Morning all!

Different view to a normal match day 😀

Just had brekkie, now off on a day trip.

Have a good game and make sure the highlights are good enough for me to watch later!
