On the East Midlands trains website, these are the London to Kettering trains that would get you to Kettering in time for a train to Leicester and where the £37.80 return fare is valid. Some of these might need you to change trains at Kettering, most carry on to Leicester.

The last of the outward trains and the first of the returns might be a bit tight but the others should be fine. Kettering to Leicester takes about 25 minutes.

Still plenty of tickets for this one, i see, a stadium with 'vomitories' scattered among the stands. This is the hair of the dog after Millwall away.

For those not keen on safe standing seats, a new block of seats infront of the safe standing ones has now been put on in M1

I'm flying direct to Birmingham for the game and then home again.

Any ideas on how to get my ticket delivered because I won't be going via London to visit the Valley or my parents house?

Post and collection from the Valley appear to be the only options, not print at home.

    Cheers
Have you ordered - if you ring club may have available to collect from their ground - alternatively happy to pick up for you and hand over on day
    @Jon_CAFC_

Thanks for the offer but sorted now, a mate picked one up for me at the Derby game.

    COYR!
  • Definitely going to need a beer or two before this one. Are there pubs between the station and the ground ?

Plenty, if you walk via the city centre.

Information for those travelling by train to Leicester from St Pancras.

Engineering work is taking place work on the lines through New Cross, blocking the lines used by trains towards London Bridge, Waterloo East and London Charing Cross. London Cannon Street will be closed all weekend..

    Woolwich line:

Trains between London Cannon Street and Slade Green via Greenwich will not run. Additional trains will run between London Bridge and Dartford via Greenwich.

    Bexleyheath line:

Trains between London Cannon Street and Slade Green via Bexleyheath, and between London Charing Cross and Dartford via Bexleyheath (Saturday only) will not run. Trains between London Victoria and Dartford will run normally so trains on the Bexleyheath line will be every 30 minutes all weekend.

    Grove Park line:

Trains between London Charing Cross and Sevenoaks via Grove Park will run to / from London Victoria, running non-stop between London Victoria and Lewisham.

    Sidcup line:

On Saturday, trains between London Charing Cross and Gravesend via Sidcup will run to / from London Victoria. Trains which usually only run between London Charing Cross and Dartford will not run, so trains on the Sidcup line will be every 30 minutes

    Hayes line:

Trains between London Charing Cross and Hayes (Kent) will run from London Victoria instead and will run every 30 minutes.

    Going from Clives helpful post,
So if on the Woolwich line:

Trains between London Cannon Street and Slade Green via Greenwich will not run.

    But

Additional trains will run between London Bridge and Dartford via Greenwich.

Doesn't that mean nothing changes on that line, except stop and start from London bridge??

Woolwich line passengers can also use Thameslink services to St Pancras or Northern Line from London Bridge.

Sidcup line passengers, half-hourly service to Victoria & Victoria Line to Kings Cross/ St Pancras.

Just in case anyone doesn't want to spend a fortune on train fares, Flixbus offer a coach service from Victoria for £5

Don't fancy the slog from station to ground and time is tight. Looks like there is no bike sharing scheme in Leicester.

Am on my own. Solo taxi the only option? I imagine buses will be rammed and slow

It’s a mile Siv, I’ve walked it there and back twice before and don’t remember it being a bad walk

Fair play to anyone going to this. The club does not deserve our great support. Hopefully the players decide to have a go this week.

Charlton wins are never predictable. If you only go to games on the expectation of winning then you’re supporting the wrong club.

Times are tough and was gutted after Saturday. We’re in a pickle, there’s are exactly the times when the team can do with good support

2,000+ going on Saturday, we’ll be roaring them on and hopefully the players respond

I started well with a good Bristol City performance and late winner at Sheff U, but other than the Hull draw it’s been defeats all the way for me.

Absolutely! We've gotta give them a lift and it's a Big game with Leicesters point deduction apparently incoming next week

I have the 3-0 at Ipswich to keep me going...

2 draws and 4 defeats are less good, though weirdly we have scored in every away game I've been to this season.
