"My view of Amady is that if his focus is somewhere else then we'll take that opportunity to replace him with somebody else."

May I suggest a pond? I've seen them be more effective in the middle of a park.

Another waster....and another waste of money, bet we only get £500K tops......I shudder to think how much money we have wasted in the last couple of years. Just hope someone is dumb enough to take him

    oh my god PLEASE

He is by far the worst player ever I have seen makes Paul Bacon look class.

Should play him at centre half, he's looked good whenever he's played there.

I think 'good' is stretching it a bit.

'Less shite' might be more like it

Not that I want to put the kybosh on his outbound transfer but I really can't get my head around how these two-bit footballers keep finding clubs that want them?

Just can't imagine Steve Bruce waking one morning screaming 'Eureka, that's the man that'll keep us in this league, Amady Faye!'. He's toss, he's always been toss, every club he's played for has a set of fans that will testify as to his tossness and yet every time he falls out of favour another Prem club comes in for him and pays him a five figure weekly salary!

I have to be honest here. I think we're being well overly harsh on the guy.

He might not be the best value for money signing we've ever made but he is not as bad as everyone is making out

yeah, he is. Wouldn't have got in my charltonlife team !!

It paid off though eh gaffer!

Would have been a more convincing win if cunningstunt hadn't of fallen on my effort too by lucky chance!!

Well he was playing centre half at Bromley pre season and was "marking" both goalscorers. I wouldn't say he was totally to blame, but would say he was the most guilty .

Birmingham are closing in on midfielder Peter Luccin, who is rated at £2m by Atletico Madrid.

The 28-year-old French midfielder has held talks with Blues boss Steve Bruce but if the deal collapses at the last moment Birmingham will move for Charlton's Amdy Faye.

Hopefully this Luccin deal doesn't come off for Birmingham and they take Faye.
[cite]Steve Bruce:[/cite] We are running out of time a little bit but we have to know one way or the other. If we don't get Luccin, then we will have to look to someone else because that area of the pitch is where I am least covered at the moment."

I'm not surprised at Portsmouth being involved. He was there before, and that happens to be the place where Faye had his one good game for us.. :)

Surely Harry's already seen what he can't do. Faye & Traore re-united - that was £4m well spent, wasn't it? In fairness, he hasn't been a total disaster, but never really seems prepared to step out of 2nd gear. Reckon Leaburn was pretty accurate - what on Earth makes managers keep on trusting these under-achievers? Maybe just pure muscle / athleticism over genuine taleny and hunger.

assume they too would have been interested in Faye on a loan only
