Oxford’s kit today.

There is no colour clash between Charlton’s home kit and Oxfords home kit or second kit. But there third kit has white shorts.
So why change?

Modern Football... They've got a number of games they've probably got to wear that kit, so chose our match to wear it
Similar to our Away Kit (?) last season, where we had to wear it regardless if the team didnt wear red

Cambridge Blue, wasn't it? Very confusing.
  • Whatever colour they want to call it...it was absolutely insipid, but really who cares, certainly the fans were confused, they thought they were playing in yellow...😂😂

I  thought it was a test card for blue-green colour blindness.

    Aquamarine?

I think the point is that three kits are a rip off, especially the cost of them.
2 kits were surely enough for years, so why the need for a third?
I know people don’t have to buy them but the football regulator should get involved, in my opinion.

Well the Oxford fans clearly weren’t fans as there was only 1 bloke in the entire stand wearing it 😂

    I really liked that colour.

I think eventually we'll have home teams sometimes wearing their away kits like some countries on the continent. Lots more high shirt numbers to come too, like Charlton's number 94, 68, etc.

Oxford’s kit yesterday didn’t bother me because I’m not so fussed about teams changing kits when it’s unnecessary, but I do have a problem when kits clash. It didn’t clash, so no problem imo.

I just don’t see any reason why kit clashes should ever happen in the professional game. A good first step would be to reverse the idiotic rule that teams can’t mix and match home/away/third shorts, socks and shirts. In a lot of cases, changing the shorts and/or socks from light to dark or vice versa makes a world of difference.

I think the colour was a Teal…….which comes in a wide range of alternative shades.

Totally agree. Loved it in the 80's and 90's when we'd don the black shorts for away games where the white shorts clashed rather than wearing an away kit.
