For the last three seasons they’ve published the themed games in advance, but they didn’t this season. Memorial is normally beginning of Jan so I would expect it probably to be either the Cov or Sheff U game
  • Cheers Boss!
I’m hoping it’s the Blades game as I’m over for it. My besties sisters funeral is on the 13th, so hoping to get her name up 🙏🏻
  • I've heard it should be the Sheffield game. The Coventry game on New Years day wasn't seen as the best option. The German Addicks lost their member Otto and also hope to bring up his name.
Any idea who the contact person is?
  • Oh I’m so sad to hear about Otto x

The club’s annual memorial will take place on Saturday, January 17th ahead of Charlton’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Sheffield United at The Valley.

Ahead of kick-off in SE7, supporters, players and officials will observe a period of applause in memory of Charlton and Sheffield United fans who passed away over the past year.

You can submit the names of your loved ones, friends and colleagues for the memorial by emailing memorial@cafc.co.uk or calling 020 8333 4000 by 12pm on Tuesday, January 13th.

The full list of names can be found in Valley Review, the official matchday programme, and will also be shown on the big screen during the tribute.

All of the names which have appeared in the Obituaries section of the matchday programme's personals page since the last memorial in January 2025 will automatically be added to the list, as will the names of supporters whose ashes have been scattered in The Valley's Memorial Garden during 2025

  • Cheers Ben, literally just sent this to my bestie.
    Thanks x

@MadGerman, Henry Irving's message above gives you the answer you wanted.
  • Thanks @Stig,

I succeeded before at the new Supporter Liaison Officer. Surpringsly I got an answer in less than 30 minutes. Maybe the club really wants to improve their response times.

I’ve emailed the club on the email address above, a couple of weeks ago, do you get a confirmation? As I’ve not had anything back.

Evie O'Sullivan told me she forwarded the request and the name will be added to the memorial video and the matchday programm. It was only her confirmation. Hope it will be done.

Would it be possible to take a photo for me? I want to make sure my uncle Harwood Smith was remembered and couldn't make it to The Valley today

    Completely agree.
It was emotional but lovely and the win was the warm hug to all those who were missing their loved ones ♥️
