    Teixera was a quality CB
Especially when he slung the ball at a Millwall player and subsequently got sent off.

    Surprised no one's mentioned Aribo.
Good player but only really played for us in League One. Most of the others all looked very good in The Championship.
Not having that. Due to Duchatelet's malevolence Glasgow Rangers got him for peanuts, and in his first season there he played 15 times in the Europa League - in total 41 Europa League games for them, and 32 caps for Nigeria too including an Africa Cup of Nations runner-up medal.

Nick Pope deserves a mention too, even if most people on here thought he wasn't good enough for us 😉

But overall, Cullen, ahead of Gallagher for me, because he did so much for us in two seasons while still only a loan player. And JRS for being a light in the darkness.

Gudmundsson or Gallagher. Think Gudmundsson still ended top of the league assists chart when we got relegated

Wasn't gallagher 17 when he came? He was a league above then. Made it look easy.
    Agree with lookman as well
    He was 19
    Still
    No, he's 25 now
  • Jonnie Jackson for me. Firstly because of his playing career. But then managing us to safety in league one. Shocking how he was treated by the snake oil salesman.

Toss up between Lookman and JBG. JBG probably the better of the two at Charlton, but hard to ignore what Lookman done after us. JBG also has had a very respectable career at the highest level.

Most of the others have been League 1 and haven't been Championship level.

Lloyd Jones deffo in with a shout as well, best CB since we left the prem and comfortably as well.

I know this is blasphemous to say on a Charlton forum, but I felt JJ before 2014 was better than JJ afterwards.

If we are going managers since the (start of the) Duchâtelet era than Lee Bowyer and Nathan Jones beat the rest easy.

I do understand Powell was the incumbent manager but, due to Duchâtelet's meddling, he was never given a chance (to prove himself) poor man. I would always say Powell leaving was the first in a whole line of mistakes.

I'm referring to Aribo's time at Charlton, not what he achieved after leaving us. He was good at League One level for us, especially for a young player and very good for Rangers in the Scottish and European competitions.

Jackson was good for sure but was our player pre Duchatelet so shouldn’t be in the conversation in my view
