KAMINSKI: 5 Mannion must be bewildered on this season's showing generally.

BURKE: 7.5 Impressed, really up for it and got stuck in

JONES: 8 Dominant, seemed to win nesrly every header

BELL: 6.5 Brilliant play undone by culpability for goals

BREE: 5 Managed two good deliveries around the 80 minute mark. Apter should have replaced him much,  much earlier.(or even started, god forbid)

COVENTRY: 6.5 Seems like the only player with any composure at times

RANKIN-COSTELLO: 7 Tried new stuff, good game

    BERRY: 6

    CAMPBELL: 6.5

LEABURN: 6.5 Tried hard but usually no-one available for the second ball once header won

KELMAN: 6 Totally wasted in this set-up

KAMINSKI: 6 - didn't have much to do. Could he have done better for the winning goal ?

BURKE: 6.5 - did reasonably well on his return to the side. Hopefully he can stay fit with Ramsey out with a hamstring injury -"for a couple of weeks" according to Nathan. but we've heard that before.....

JONES: 6.5 - dominant in the air

BELL: 6.5 - excellent on the ball but blotted his copybook with losing Shaughnessy (who barely moved) for the first goal and with his part in the pantomime second by failing to engage Yang. I suspect there was an element of fatigue at the end and it was a collective team balls up, with Gillesphey going for the same ball as Jones.

    BREE: 5 - didn't offer much

COVENTRY: 6 - ok. I'd have liked him to be more progressive with the ball but, with Berry and JRC alongside him, he had a lot of defensive responsibility

RANKIN-COSTELLO: 7.5: MoTM - played very well and showed some much-needed invention on the ball

BERRY: 6 - a lightweight player at this level but he did have a few good moments

CAMPBELL: 6.5 - a good first half. Quieter in the second period but worked very hard for the team in an unfamiliar role and didn't get exposed down his flank

LEABURN: 6 - won a few headers, including the assist, but it was still a bit of a struggle.

KELMAN: 5 - apart from two pea-rollers in the first half and a delayed shot which was blocked in the second, I forgot he was playing. Offered scant support to Leaburn

Referee: 3 - the very epitome of a 'homer'. I find it extraordinary that this man is a Premier League referee, officiated the FA Cup final two years ago and was on the FIFA List for 4 years prior to his removal in 2022. He was bloody useless.

    In at the death?

KAMINSKI: 5 - Having seen the second goal far more times than is good for my mental health, I think he can and should get a hand to it. Beyond that, distro was better but not great. Him being rooted to his line on corners and dead balls puts us under a lot of pressure.

BURKE: 7.5 - Thought he was very good. Good on the ball and good defending. Only problem is when he gets isolated and someone with pace runs at him.

    JONES: 7 - Solid

BELL: 7.5 - Maybe could do better for the second, was generally very classy on the ball.

BREE: 6 - Fine if uninspiring. Set pieces were much better but don't have the crispness they did early doors.

COVENTRY: 7.5 - Not his best but still good and tidy. Twice showed composure in and around the box (his turn on the left, his running to win the free kick that lead to the corner that led to the goal) that our attackers didn't show.

RANKIN-COSTELLO: 8 MOTM - Where has that come from? In my preview I talked about our need for a "linking #8." I didn't even include him in discussion because despite the fact that he was a box-to-box midfielder at Blackburn, he's looked like a 6 for us. Boy was I wrong. Hopefully he's the answer until we can get a reinforcement in in January. Could be a crucial player in coming weeks.

BERRY: 6.5 - A lot of endeavor and things didn't quite come up. He's a little ball of chaos, which is great when he's scoring worldies, but it means less composure in and around the box when things aren't coming off. Pressed well.

CAMPBELL: 7 - Constantly took on two defenders and did well. Did alright at defending, although Bell carried him somewhat there.

LEABURN: 6.5 - Won headers and generally caused chaos but lacked composure in the final third.

KELMAN: 5.5 - Had composure in the final third but lacked service. There is a theme here, which is lack of composure in the final third, and lack of service that leads to lack of composure.

    Referee: 3 - Poor
