Got to say, that lineup made me let off a sigh, can't see anything bar a Chelsea thumping here sadly
Wait... Could anyone see anything otherwise even before the line-ups got announced? - I'll be amazed if get anything from this match, my expectations are so bloody low, I'll be elated if we even take them to Extra-Time, not because of our form... But simply because of the talent Chelsea have on offer
If we win the pre-match coin toss that would be worthy of an open-top bus parade.

fawa news dot sc would probably be the first place to check
  • All over between Spurs vs Aston Villa, so plenty of time for TNT to switch over so they can focus on Chelsea and Rosenior for the next few hours

He may not be great but I think we actually play better as a team when Docherty plays.

Yeah the only feasible changes to our outfield lineup are who starts in the 8 and 10 roles. JRC been good of late but Doc might be a bit better defensively. Carey is our top scorer and Luke Berry hasn't exactly set the world alight. We only have one defensive RWB and it's Bree. We're not going to start Apter and TC as our wingbacks against bloody Chelsea.

Mannion in goal for TK is the only definitive downgrade but it's common to rest your first choice keeper in the cup. Plus, there are some on here who think Mannion is the superior keeper (preposterous IMHO).

Strong side. I wish we had the squad depth and quality to give more players a rest but we just don't right now. COYR.

"The main FA Cup headlines at 10pm on Third Round Saturday:

The holders, Crystal Palarse, have been humiliated on a scale hitherto unseen in FA Cup history, dumped out by the Macc Ladds.

Amd Chelsea have sacked their manager, who hadn't been in post long enough for us to remember his name, after a sensational defeat to plucky little Charlton Athletic."

ESPN+ programme starting 15 mins before kick off with a full studio  production and pundit Steve Nicol. How lucky are we?

Steve Nicol starts off by saying he’s surprised by the Chelsea line up.

Oh wow they have a reporter outside the West Stand as well! Glamour!

Nearly some extra (boxing) rounds in that match

What's with the cordoned off seats in the JS?
  • TNT with Karen Carney and Joe Cole as pundits

    Absolutely. I agree wholeheartedly.

I don't know if we can say that this isn't our strongest team, except for Mannion. Recently Kaminski has won me over but I'm pleased Mannion is getting his reward for helping us up last season.

Up the addicks. We may not, but we can win this.
  • TNT also started off by saying: "Charlton host Chelsea, having won the FA Cup in 1947"
Their focus since has fully turned to Rosenior :D

Secret flame throwers that'll go off at the same time as this Curbsside.

That'll teach 'em for sanding their pitch ...

You could be forgiven for thinking Chelsea aren’t playing against another team tonight based on TNT’s FA Cup coverage.

Look like those of us at home missed a light show, shame

This seems unfair.  Why are we the only ones with a goal?  Makes it far too hard for us.
