Perhaps he should go and tell all the players.
Apart from Salt no batsman from either side has looked comfortable

I think it's certainly not a road but too many of the batters, on both sides, have got out to awful shots such as full tosses, reverse sweeps, finding the only man on the boundary and basic poor shot selection. Probably 165 was a par score and only then because the outfield is so slow.

56-6 (10). England were 68-4 at the same stage.

And now Overton has enticed Hamantha to hit his own wicket. That has nothing to do with the pitch and more his own stupidity

    69-7

At one point, the betting markets gave Sri Lanka an 84% chance of winning. It's now 2%.
  • Superb fielding by Jacks

Regrettably you just can't keep that man Jacks out of the action. Catches the ball on the boundary and feeds the ball to Banton to complete it. It is only fit and proper that the catch goes to Banton in the book.

    82-8 (14.2)

As I never said anything when England were batting, I would like to mention that at the time I thought it was a superb batting performance on a difficult pitch, and that it was easily enough runs for England to win by a mile  ;)

Profoundly unserious batting from SL there, befitting the format

Some absolutely horrendous batting from Sri Lanka there. Pakistan on Tuesday will be a far trickier test.

Pakistan, on their day, are more than capable of imploding in world class proportions. We can't rely on that though and a few of our batters need to find a bit of form.

Yes, me too. I thought we had batted Sri Lanka out of the game and could have declared at 120.
  • India falling into the abyss... 47/4 got to get 141 more in 12 overs. Sarf Africa's to lose.

Zimbabwe v West indies on now. West Indian lose their first wicket 22/1 after 3 overs.

Meanwhile more Indian interference though it's ours and sarf African board/players that have gone for it. Our tour next winter will have only 3 test, 3 ODI and no T20 matches as the players want to play for the Indian run franchise league SA20 which starts in January next year.

Hetmyer was dropped on 6 from a regimental catch on the boundary. Will be one expensive drop.........

There are so many franchise T20 tournaments and T20 world cups, that these T20 bilateral series feel a bit expendable anyway. The best T20 players are endlessly playing T20 cricket all round the world in all conditions, which doesn't apply to the other forms of the game.

Playing a bilateral T20 series In South Africa at the same time as their T20 tournament does seem a bit silly, so I can see why they've postponed it.
