Leicestershire are on the brink of relegation from Division One of the County Championship after being deducted 27 points for breaching pitch regulations in their victory over Glamorgan in August.
Bet that wouldn't happen to certain Test/Hundred hosting counties
Reported & 27 point deduction (774 runs for the loss of 40 wickets)
Leics 151 & 257
Glamorgan 152 & 214
Not reported (730 runs for the loss of 39 wickets)
Warwickshire 161 & 206-9
Sussex 156 & 207

Pitch looked a minefield to be fair and the groundsman was very unhappy that he'd lost a day's preparation to the filming of something for Bollywood. It's fairly amateurishAddick Addict said:Leicestershire are on the brink of relegation from Division One of the County Championship after being deducted 27 points for breaching pitch regulations in their victory over Glamorgan in August.

That Warwickshire seam attack of Woakes,Bamber ,Hannon-Dalby and Booth are absolutely unplayable at Edgbaston. Whatever they're doing pitch wise up there is massively favouring seamAddick Addict said:Leicestershire are on the brink of relegation from Division One of the County Championship after being deducted 27 points for breaching pitch regulations in their victory over Glamorgan in August.

It might have looked it but we've had loads of games that ended in two days this season. These were two of the worst teams in Div 1 and yet the teams that are currently first and fourth respectively but still managed 44 more runs for the loss of one less wicket than the game at Edgbaston. What was Warwickshire's excuse? Probably overuse but then that's acceptable because of what it's been used for.fenaddick said:

Some interesting quotes in this video from Chris Woakes especially about the pitches at Southampton and Hampshire favouring used Hybrid pitches.1 -
Agreed and Sussex still managed to take 19 wickets at 19.32. Hunt, who isn't on the same level as most of the bowlers you mention, took 9-95 in the match but has figures of 11-345 elsewhere.MarcusH26 said:

Excellent job done!

Err, would some degree of precipitation aid our cause ?Addick Addict said:For two days I'm going to be a Derbyshire fan
I MIGHT be persuaded to come out of retirement if it helped us on our way onwards & upwards....

I was never worried about reaching the target, once we got to 80. All eyes elsewhere!1

That's a really good win. What a sorry state Lancs are in though with some of the quality they've got in that side.3

That is now seven wins in the CC this season as opposed to the one we had last year. We didn't play well last season but then we were riddled with injuries for so much of it and had to include five players who were under 20 at times. Compton is the only one to play in the final game of last season and in the one that has just concluded.3

Hold fire Fanny. Let's see how many Derbyshire make first but please keep yourself warmed up just in case.Fanny Fanackapan said:

Talking of Derbyshire, they are currently 120-4 for a lead of 182. They've exactly doubled their score since they were 60-44

Well played our Men of Kent and Kentishmen. I wasn’t able to see the final few overs as I’m on my way to a third appointment today, but it looks like a job well done. Yesterday was undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable days of county cricket I’ve seen and it was a privilege seeing Sir Jimmy in action, possibly for the last time.
One other feature from yesterday: Josh Bohannon’s six landed on the seat in front of me. That woke me up!
Come on Derbyshire.

For me it is odd as one of the 'big' counties with a test ground and a Hundred side. Middlesex have various issues; that's their excuseMarcusH26 said:That's a really good win. What a sorry state Lancs are in though with some of the quality they've got in that side.0 -
Middlesex are just tenants at Lord's, second class tenants now, especially as the MCC owns a big stake in the Lord's franchise.PrincessFiona said:

Hence a lot of their games are played at outgrounds now.0 -
Derbyshire 141-5 for a lead of 2032

exactly, so they don't get the same advantages of the 'big' clubskillerandflash said:

what does everyone think they'll need to make it hard going for Northants?Addick Addict said:Derbyshire 141-5 for a lead of 203
A lead of 300 or even 350 would be good?0
