We've been celebrating the marriage of 2 of our group today ( and really great it was too !) so only saw 30 mins or so this morning & another 30 at the end of the day's play.
Sam NE not finding it a doddle at present, and it goes without saying, sadly, neither is Zak.....but another sterling performance for our 'keeper/batter- well done, Chris !
So, a good day in my book & looking forward to another tomorrow.1 -
Benjamin falls for 74 (129). 310/91
-
And Dudgeon goes for 39 (87), Taylor made a decent 10* (14). 327 all out and a lead of 24
-
I've heard that a lot of people in Kent are currently suffering from unexplained nosebleeds. The medical experts have totally dismissed the theory that this has any connection whatsoever with their cricket team having had first innings leads in consecutive matches.6

39-2 (20.1) at lunch. A wicket each to Taylor and Cohen. Both caught by Dudgeon who has taken some very good low catches in this match at third slip.
A small word for Cohen too. It's clearly taken him time to get over his injuries and certainly when he returned at the end of last season he was spraying the ball a bit. To date in this innings he has returned the miserly figures of 5.1-2-4-14 -
123-4
A first wicket for Ekansh and a somewhat incredible catch for Cohen to get his second. Cohen finds the edge of Bracey's bat, the ball is parried by Northeast at second slip to Crawley at first who proceeds to catch the ball in his stomach!5 -

173-5. A second wicket for Ekansh.3

Coco was eleven runs short today of making it three tons on the bounce. How long before Surrey come knocking?Addick Addict said:
That's Co Co Streets second hundred of the season. Seb played with her brother, Ollie, throughout the Kent age group system. Lovely family.fenaddick said:This is fun, two centuries in 90 seconds for the two Kent sides

Are we capable of chasing 250 plus?0

REALLY pleased to see the wickets taken shared between our bowlers ( not your day, Dug...)
Beginning to feel more hopeful for the season ( What a mistaka to maka !)4 -
262 all out so Kent will need 261 to win
That wicket went to Taylor to give him figures of 10-106 in the match. As the song goes "can we play you (Taylor) every week?"2 -
From being toothless as a bowling attack, all of a sudden, we look like we might have something about us. With a three-prong of Milnes, Dudgeon and Taylor plus any two others, that's as good as we've had in over two seasons.1
-
Dawkins caught at point trying to drive the ball for 7 (18). Crawley has come out punching with 15* (10)
22-11 -

a swing and a miss by Crawley. out for 17. 24/21

Crawley tries an expansive slog and is bowled for 17 (21)
24-21 -
It's getting near that time Fanny..........2

I fear social media will have an absolute field day once they grab hold of that crawley dismissal, such a poor shot0
-
We need Northeast to take command and guide us to victory.0

Totally agree, AA.Addick Addict said:From being toothless as a bowling attack, all of a sudden, we look like we might have something about us. With a three-prong of Milnes, Dudgeon and Taylor plus any two others, that's as good as we've had in over two seasons.
But what about our denture laden top order batters especially the openers ?0 -
Genuine question. Is Crawley still in line for an England call up and if so how? He seems to be out of his depth in a mediocre division 2 county side.0
-
0% chance they pick him. They have to be seen to make some changes and he is entirely going to be a or the fall guy.ken_shabby said:Genuine question. Is Crawley still in line for an England call up and if so how? He seems to be out of his depth in a mediocre division 2 county side.1 -
Muyeye looking good here again. Mostly controlled shots and a few boundaries.0
-
The only surprise will be if they go McKinney over Gay as Crawley's replacement. It'll be one of those two I'd say, followed by Tribe, and Rishi Patel as rank outsider (Rew will not be called up as opener imo)0
