At least the cold wind has dropped a little. What a brilliant third wicket stand between Dawkins and Northeast. 244/1.

Dawkins and Northeast really filling their boots with these last few overs of the old ball.

with such a flat pitch it makes Crawleys 30 look even more disappointing. No more red ball cricket after this for a while, not sure when the next game is. Had there been one next week surely they would of been tempted to drop him.

The fact that McKinney, who has bowled 7 overs in professional cricket, has come on to bowl rather says it all.

New ball given to Raine and Northeast punches it out for a boundary twice already..

What a cracking days cricket, and I seem to have finally stopped shivering. Superb innings by SNE and Ben Dawkins, as just said, England’s future opener.
Looking forward to coming back tomorrow.

Fair point. Beckenham has always been a batters track. I was here in 2016 and 2017 for the games v Northants. Monster scores for Duckett, Dickson (triple ton) and Denly. Dawkins is carrying it on for the D men.

There was absolutely nothing for the bowlers today.

Wait until Milnes, Dudgeon, Taylor. Ekansh and Parkinson get on there. It'll be like a minefield!

That said, Durham are the best team in the division so getting a draw against them would keep us in the pack for second place.

Slightly facetious but hoping we make at least 450 within 110 overs to get maximum batting points. When did we
    last achieve that?

A daddy ton against the England Captain is a good way of introducing yourself.

Interesting scorecard from today's 2nd XI T20 game against Surrey.

We put out a strong side with all bar Ollie Morgan (who took the gloves) being contracted to Kent. In fact, the only players not in the whole squad not playing for the 1st or 2nd XIs were Foreman, Cohen and Evison (all with the first team) plus Curtiss, Compton (injured) and Quinn (injured)
